@Bowler218 has successfully completed a quest. He has been awarded 100 gold and the book “Mysterious Disappearances”. He also has 1 point towards leveling up and his reputation is now at 55%.
Well actually, tomorrow, all uncompleted quests will be failed and the penalties will be applied, and then a Super Quest will start. It will last until the 20th, and you can all participate, but you are not required to. Just know that the rewards are better, but they are more dangerous and penalties to reputation can still be applied.
@Derfaulehelmut You turn around to see what it was, but there is nothing except a small patch of lingering fog, seeping through the tree line on the edge of the farmland. You hear a scream from within, but it is distorted, muffled, but it is still a distinctive cry of a frightened child.
@baryonyx69 I shout all the info I have and run into the zone where the cry comes to find the child. Shouting the info has two diferent purpouses: Alert the possible reinforcements (if the grandfather alerted the guards as requested) just in case they are near or in their way and scare possible enemies making they think they are outnumbered.
@Derfaulehelmut You hear the calls of a few guards behind you. You enter the cloud of mist, and everything fades away, except for eternal gray. All sounds fade, all sights melt away, all feelings suppress as you fall away from reality. Visions flood your mind, a burning city, screams of humans in horror, moans of undead, the roar of the fire. And then, a single being, a necromancer. He smiles and chuckles a little, then you visions fade as you return to the farm, two zombies in front of you, one holding a sword to the throat of one of the missing children. (You could complete s secondary objective here, so pick your actions wisely)
@pjbear2005 oh yes, sorry!! You return to the young man late at night. He awaits, wearing fine clothes woven from fine silk and embroidered with beautiful colors. When he spots you, a smile adorns his face, and he begins to approach you. “My, you got it! I am extremely grateful, I am forever indebted to you!” You give him the flower, and he, taking it in his hands, admires it’s beauty. Then, as if snapping back to reality, he looks to you. “I almost forgot about your reward!” He reaches into his pocket and brings forth 200 gold in a small sack. “I know it’s not much, but it’s the most valuable thing I own.
I really don't want to end week 1 with anyone below 50 reputation. It ain't good when half or more of the team fails on their first mission. Let's get the late night posts up.
I bow my head. "You are most wlecome, thank you for your generous reward. Keep in touch, I have heard rumors of roses of ivory and if you ever need assistance, I will be waiting" He turns and walks away to ponder as he waits for his next quest.
"Nigromancers? Really? I am too old for this sh*t..." The most important now is to save the kid. It will be time to analyse whatever that vision was later. I need to be sure if the zombies can think or reason (one of them is holding a sword afterall) and how fast they move and react. Calmly I take the locket from my belt and show it to them. "Stop, please, look at that"
In the case they do appear to have limited inteligence or none, I will try to distract them moving the locket. Meanwhile, with the other hand I make signs to the guards so they can surround the zombies and backstab them.
In the case they respond and reason. I am asking what they want and if negotiations are possible while indicating guards to hold back.
Ok, well unfortunately we must begin the first Super Quest, so all quests now end if they didn’t before. However, since I didn’t explain that and some people may have thought they had plenty of time or something, I will not deduct reputation penalties for the first quests. But from now on, I will. @Derfaulehelmut the zombie releases his grip on the child, and they both turn and shamble back into the forest following the receding mist. All four kids are found within a few hours.
@LostinStatic@pjbear2005@Derfaulehelmut@Bowler218@HurricanesHardlyHappen The first Super Quest is now beginning! Until January 20, there will be no other quests, even if you complete this on Wednesday, Tuesday, tomorrow even. So make this last. These are the main objectives, each player chooses one to take on, like a normal quest, but if there aren’t enough for all the players, they can double up: a small undead garrison is going around slaughtering innocents. Stop them (save four innocents for a secondary objective) Attack an undead stronghold (gather information for a secondary objective) Defend the outer reaches of Hahgheim (don’t let the undead damage the city at all for a secondary objective) Destroy the lich (kill his cult of followers for a secondary objective)
@Derfaulehelmut also a good choice. I will give you a reward for saving the one child, though they all were rescued, but any quest that wasn’t completed by today was automatically ended. Your reward is 75 gold

I keep the locket in a safe place under my belt. At the same time I pay attention to what this motion could be.

No, I will pick up a different quest when I return. I can get rewards to those rather than risk my main goal for the flower I have.

What happens after I take it back?

Is my mission with the kids complete? Rewards or something? Thanks.
I'll take: a small undead garrison is going around slaughtering innocents. Stop them (save four innocents for a secondary objective)
