@EnvyReaper I think you can get more feeedback if you post image like this. <img src="IMAGE_LINK"; width="35%">
In my opinion, the ball feels a little too metallic because of the way it's shaded, and the ball should also be colored. The part that tells people rarity is small. And the highlight of the ball is stronger than that part. What about..
@TenebrisNemo I edited @Faiths_Guide's symbol and made it look more like feathers, but I don't know, I think stripe is cool too.
@TenebrisNemo@Faiths_Guide@Tomigon I think it is difficult to see the wings/feathers in that emblem unless you already know that there are supposed to be feathers there.
By wrapping the wings around the sword, they can be made larger without crossing the halo's border. I had something like this in mind: This is only a quick concept though. The sword can still be made a little larger and the wings can be wrapped slightly more, also taking some of the edge off them.
@Tomigon & @Jonteman93 - The sword in the cards you posted can barely be seen. And the wings in the symbol of Viktorian Initiator can't be recognized either, for the lines might be too thin and complicated.
Even though @Faiths_Guide's symbol has been the simplest, I still believe it has been the best one so far, but I haven't seen how Tomigon's version of it looks in a card. May you post a card with that symbol, @Tomigon?
@Jonteman93 & @TenebrisNemo I believe our best bet for clarity would be to modify @Tomigon's symbol into something that is roughly circular with visible wings and half-halo.
If I were to raise the lowest third of the wings and broaden their tapering lines this would be even more circular and, I should think, a very serviceable symbol.
If you wanted to go one step further (it will depend how you approach the colors), you could broaden the halo and hollow it out so that the symbol color could be filled into it along with the sword/wings.
This is my set Paradigm, which is about creatures, spells, and other types of cards being able to be matched up with each other to make cool combinations (Aka, kind of like a puzzle piece thing going on)
Also guys I use my school laptop to go on this but I can't view Imgur links because people kept using them to look up inappropriate images so yeah if I can't see your image sorry
@Lujikul - The symbol would be bigger on a card if it's touching the edges of the image, if you know what I mean.
Personally I like the thick black lines of Faith's original design and Tomigon's version of it, but it's hard for me to decide which one I like more since I haven't seen Tomigon's version on a card yet.
I can't do the gradient unless I move the image to another program, but, depending on your browser/device, this should look similar to a mythic at card size:
The black border size could be increased as necessary.
@Faiths_Guide use vectr, an online tool that allows you to do gradients, use grids, a pen tool that you can use to change many aspects on a line such as add a point and change its rotation as well
@TenebrisNemo@Lujikul@Faiths_Guide maybe, instead of making it look like a Zweihänder crossed with a long sword, you can make it look more like a broadsword

What about something like this?

But they are not really what we are searching for. It's supposed to be a circular emblem on which the symbol is printed.

@Tomigon's solution seems the best. What you are attempting is going to be too busy to be recognizable no matter what.
Even though @Faiths_Guide's symbol has been the simplest, I still believe it has been the best one so far, but I haven't seen how Tomigon's version of it looks in a card. May you post a card with that symbol, @Tomigon?

Take a look:
I think this looks really good after the adjustments:
If you wanted to go one step further (it will depend how you approach the colors), you could broaden the halo and hollow it out so that the symbol color could be filled into it along with the sword/wings.
The upper cavity can have taper adjustments to make it as large or small as desired.

@Everyone
Here's how Faiths' symbol would look on a card, assuming it's common:
As a CAD operator by trade, I use Autodesk's AutoCAD Civil 3D program.
I think we need @Tomigon's touch to get that symbol to look just right.
Personally I like the thick black lines of Faith's original design and Tomigon's version of it, but it's hard for me to decide which one I like more since I haven't seen Tomigon's version on a card yet.

Color could be done in a number of ways here.
