Will add more story later on, but long story short is that Xylem was slain by the previous wielder of Grimace, which then decided that Xylem would be a more favorable master and killed its own wielder. Xylem now feels the call of the weapon, which even from a distance grants him the power to arise as a specter in search for it.
In the small village named Beduk, Toji had trained as a wizard for roughly 50 years. His education, due to his natural talent in the pyromantic arts, focused on the negation of the infernos he inevitably caused. At 80, he was exiled from Beduk. With his spellbook and Xid, his pet mouse, Toji created a home in a cave, where he practiced pyromacy for a further 40 years, allowing him to claim the title apprentice, when he set out to explore the world!
Never thought of myself as an artifacts guy, but here we go:
Meet Snicc!
This little generalist grease monkey (or grease fox...) scraps your artifacts that are about to die, and repurposes them.
In card terms, if you can see your robot is not going to make it (a spell hit him or something), you can use an open mana slot and a little Sniccle ingenuity to transform your creature into another form, that shall live another day.
In case you haven't cast Snicc yet, here is a one-time version:
I'd like to introduce my good friend Ren. (peeks behind curtain) Ren! Oh well.
Ren is pretty shy and prefers to go it alone when he travels. He inherited his cloak from his father and his adventurous spirit from his mother. He is fasinated by history and yearns to find out the truth behind everything.
Results are in! Find out who your with: Pairs: Uwava/Inori Telso/Theo Davey/Jahennimar Xylem/Montague Toji/Ren Agrivaz/Izilan Snicc/Aellia Osbert/Volker
I discovered that planeswalkers can't take other creatures with them so... Nyana had a carriage with planeswalking birds pulling it. (Also): are there elves on mirrodin?

Montague was a hero, known throughout the plane for his unorthodox fighting style. Basically, he liked to throw his longsword, know as Truth, and his shield, known as Justice, at his foes. he is excellent at any sort of throwing weapon, but prefers his trusty sword and shield, as well as a set of chakrams, which he calls Haloes, that he keeps with him at all times.
His life changed forever when he found a mythical gem in the heart of a snowy peak. This gem, legend has it, caused its previous owner to go insane, which is why it was sealed away in the first place. Montague, oblivious to any rumor, got ahold of the stone and attached it to Truth. The blade got the new ability to freeze whoever it hit in time, but the stone's presence would prove disastrous in the end. The stone's main purpose was to show the truth of the Multiverse to it's bearer. This it did to Monague slowly but surely through countless nightmares and visions. In the end, Montague couldn't handle it anymore, and snapped. Now he travels through the plane, killing everyone in order to "put them out of their misery", as he states. He seems to be getting more and more unstable. Will Montague break out of the insanity brought by the gem of truth? Or will he perish? Nobody knows, except for maybe some sort of seer...
Ps. this comment is the most glitched thing I have ever seen.
Because this is a humanoid cat:

Pairs:
Uwava/Inori
Telso/Theo
Davey/Jahennimar
Xylem/Montague
Toji/Ren
Agrivaz/Izilan
Snicc/Aellia

(I honestly thought I would get paired to Inori.)
I see absolutely no way that this could go awry.
Actually seems pretty legit.

Care for an automatic bow with 200x pushing power, lightning arrows, and a pancake machine?
on the bright side, we could develop a really interesting dynamic. Good on you, @Bowler218, for setting up complex relations!
