Ajani Steadfast's emblem is "If a source would deal damage to you or a planeswalker you control, prevent all but 1 of that damage." If it says "whenever", the damage has already been dealt, so it's too late to prevent it.
It's a very unique ability. Can you explain why does he do that? I haven't watched the movie so I have no clue.
The idea came from how Cameron Poe is protective over his fallen comrad who has been ill for the duration of the film, he needs his insulin shots and because the plane they was being transported on was taken over by convicts, he didn't get his medicine in time. He even gets shot closer to the end. Feeling like he wont survive, he proceeds to tell Cameron that he feels he's not supposed to make it after all. Cameron decides to confront Cyrus (the head villain/convict that helped orchestrate the convicts take over of the plane) at that point and he asks Cameron "where are you going?" to which Cameron replies, "I'm gonna show you God does exist." This is where the cards flavor text comes from. Cameron even protected Guard Bishop, whom almost got 'attacked' by a convict, whom Cameron stopped just in time. He even says to the con in the fight "You don't treat women that way!" Since he helped to protected more than just himself and his fallen comrad, I figured it'd be cool for Cameron's ability. But he also showed he was fast, vigilant, and that he hits hard when he fought with others, especially in the famous "Put the bunny back in the box" scene.
Here's the 'Put the bunny back in the box' scene if you want to check it out:
I see. Thanks for your entry and explaining!

(Old card)
Movies are Scott Pilgrim us. the World, Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them, and Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
The Road to El Dorado.
Cinderella
Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl
The idea is that you have two guys fighting, and after the battle, they're back to being friends, just like Hulk and the puny god
Submissions from old cards were really good, but people who made cards for this contest also did good job, so I decided to judge them separately.

And here are some feedback on new cards:
"Cameron Poe, the Parolee" by @sorinjace
https://mtgcardsmith.com/view/cameron-poe-the-parolee
Maybe he doesn't need green?
Ability looks like he makes some kind of magical shield. If he's not a wizard or something, "[Cost]: Prevent the next N damage that would be dealt to target creature this turn." feels more natural. That being said, 3 drop 3/3 with all those abilities are good fighter, and a powerful hate card against red deck.
"Holy Mountain" by @pstmdrn
Very beautiful artwork!
Those abilities are a little too useful for a land card. But that's also a fun part of this card. It has land types, so you can search it with cards like Farseek or fetch lands, and you can get those effects when you want it.
"Out of the Shadows" by @sorinjace
https://mtgcardsmith.com/view/out-of-the-shadows-1
Nice design, but I'm a little worried about the tutor effect in Human/Rat tribal deck.
MtG doesn't have so many good Turtles, so I'm not worried about them and the alternate win con.
"Don't Cross the Streams" by @sorinjace
https://mtgcardsmith.com/view/dont-cross-the-streams
Nice removal spell. I would add "and if you control a Plains or Mountain" after "If a Spirit creature is attacking you". But the card is not that powerful, so maybe it's ok without it. Fyi, cards that let you do something for free (e.g. Daze, Snuff Out, Ajani's Last Stand) often requires land that can produce mana of that card's color, so that they won't be used in decks of wrong color.
"Battle of the Bands" by @S1A_L8R

What a fun card!
"Niffler" by @S1A_L8R
https://mtgcardsmith.com/view/niffler-5?list=set&set=39635
Very flavorful design! But I feel like it should have white in its mana cost. Most cards that have this effect are white.
"Battle of the Bands" by @S1A_L8R
https://mtgcardsmith.com/view/rabbit-of-caerbannog-1?list=set&set=39635
Scary bunny! The card could be a little more powerful if it's a legendary.
Minor thing, but the wording should be-
"Whenever a creature dealt damage by
Rabbit of Caerbannog this turn dies,
put a +1/+1 counter on Rabbit of
Caerbannog."
"The Snap" by @MEGAElixer
Maybe this wording is better..?
"Exile all spells and permanents, and exile all cards in each player's graveyard, hand and library. Target opponent separates all cards in exile into two piles, and you choose one of them. Each player shuffles all cards they own in the chosen pile into their library, then draws seven cards."
"Rico's Recruit" by @sorinjace
https://mtgcardsmith.com/view/ricos-recruit
Good card against insect deck!
"Friends From Work" by @Corwinnn
https://mtgcardsmith.com/view/friends-from-work
People who haven't watched the movie would have no idea why this card does this effect. But very unique idea!
"Alita Vengeant" by @sanjaya666
https://mtgcardsmith.com/view/alita-vengeant
I haven't watched the movie yet, so I have no idea too. But if a powerful finisher is what you wanted to make, you surely did a good job!
