@faiths_Guide I love your card Defiant Fallbark. I was thinking that given its name and autumnal feel, gaining counters on a discard would be very flavorful. It would also synergize with delirium and other graveyard strategies common to G/B.
Thanks, @pstmdrn! Your solution is another option, but would be even more powerful than what I have now (which is focused on defiance btw) because discarding is so repeatable--in Innistrad especially--and often a positive thing. The synergies you mentioned are still present with his current trigger, but the method and speed at which he gains counters is much less abuse-able while still very flavorful.
I originally made this as an enchantment that didn't allow creatures with power greater than the number of creatures on the field to attack, but I forgot that the challenge required that the entries be creatures. I hope you can see the nature theme in this guy - if there's a lot to eat, he eats, and if there isn't, he destroys the landscape looking for more food.
Here's my entry. I'm entering on March 14th. Is that Okay? (I'm sorry it's on a link. I couldn't figure out how to get it on my comment. I also couldn't find artist name. I'll try to find it.

Glad you like him!
I forgot that the entries were only creatures, but this card is still cool, so please check it out. It fits really well thematically.
