Hey guys, Urtar370 here. I thought it would be cool if i held a contest where you picked an album and made a card named after each song on the album, submitted in order of the tracklist. Pick one of your favorite albums, and make a card for each song that you feel represents the song, submit them in order of the tracklist, and give me a link to the album, so I can listen to it. I will like cards I like, and also ones that I feel represent the songs well.

    Ok so I decided on an E.P. I adore very much. This E.P. will take me back to 2001/2002. Man. It's a 4 song E.P. and each song is amazing. One of my top favorites still to this day. I just hope you will not only give it a whirl @urtar370, but I hope you appreciate it even if you may not like it. Idk. Hope you will like it.

    I'll post who the band is and name of E.P. after I make you the cards.

    Song 1 of 4: Open Hands to the Wind

    This one surprised the hell out of me. It was an Illusion at first. Then I played around with its p/t. I had it as a 3/3 for 2 cmc, but felt it was too powerful. So i changed it to a 2/2, but what makes it legendary is how abusable it is, not its p/t. I felt it was more of a spirit, so instead of sacrificing it, i made the creature it can be bestowed on or it itself "bouncable." I think i would run this to test it out for sure. Anyways, thats card 1 of 4 for this E.P. @urtar370! :)

    Basically, we are all succumb to broken hearts at one point or another, as well as mistakes and regrets. Sometimes silence can be very loud. Sometimes it can be very painful. And sometimes, silence is all that can be said when everything else fails, and there is no words left to say.

    This is my favorite song on the E.P. and in this bands history. Still to this day one of the best songs I have ever heard in the post hardcore genre.

    Song 4 of 4: The Far Pavillions

    This song concludes the 4 song E.P. I hope you'll like it, but idk what your tastes are. Anyways, this song is about friends coming and going and life being difficult sometimes. Solid song, and an excellent closer song to an excellent E.P.

    I chose the album Love Yourself: Tear by BTS! While not my favorite album ever, some of the songs have great names to be used on cards, and I was able to make really cool cards with them.
    Here is a link to the album (and just a side note, the album is not in English, so turn on the subtitles on the video if you actually watch the video or just look up the song lyrics. It is probably important for you to understand the meaning of the songs.)

    1. Intro: Singularity

    Who doesn't love a wrath to get rid of everything except for one thing? Exiling the hand was too red and I didn't want red on this card, so just the battlefield and graveyard are exiled. And of course no getting rid of lands because that is not something we do here. Or at least it shouldn't be...

    2. FAKE LOVE (this song has a music video if you want to check it out)

    This card is not directly named after the card because I thought I could do a better job with something like this. Just made up the Found Love mechanic. If it is super similar to other mechanics people have made then I suppose it could be changed to that...

    3. The Truth Untold (feat. Steve Aoki)

    This is definitely my favorite card that I made for this contest. Everything about it is just so awesome.

    My card for 134340 is made for Commander, using the Join Forces mechanic in a bit of a different way. I didn't think about this while I made it but someone could pay mana as the spell resolves and then get nothing out of it! Like icing on the cake!

    Just a land, nothing too special. Originally had it sacrifice to give WWGG, but I figured that that would be too powerful.

    7. Magic Shop

    The song, and therefore this card, are based after the psychodramatic technique, which exchanges fear for a positive attitude. So you exchange a card from your hand, the "fear" or unwanted thing (I mean unless it hits a card you wanted), for a card that you want, the "positive attitude" (hence "Positivity Counter"). Hoping I got the power level right with this one.
    EDIT: I realized this is kind of weird as an artifact, but it just felt like it should be one when I made it.

    This song has such a weird title with the "Pt. 2," so I just kinda came up with this.

    This song is named after a Japanese superhero, and the name literally translates to "Bread Man." Look up Anpanman on urban dictionary and there is a decent explanation of the superhero. This card is kinda hilarious imo.

    Somewhat based off of Assassin's Trophy, this is a pretty basic removal spell with a drawback because it is two mana.


    So... this album is kind of long, and it took a while to make all of these cards. However, I enjoyed this a lot!

    And just a side note: the flavor text on the cards is, for the most part, the English translation of the original lyrics for the songs. And also a lot of the contractions were changed because it wasn't accepting my apostrophes, it was a different kind of apostrophe or something like that.

    I highly reccommend this album, it was made before TOP were popular, and they are my favorite artist. I like lots of kinds if music btw.

    I have made multiple other albums on Magic Set Editor. Right now I am trying to do A fever you can't sweat out by Panic! at the Disco, but it is very hard because of the long song names.

    I can now say I'm done with the album. All of you have 4-5 songs have it easy, I have made all songs from the special editions, not counting broiler remixes.

    I'm slowly working on cards for a 12 song album, so not too long, but not too short. I'm also cheating just slightly because one is a double-face card because the next to last song on the album slowly and thematically transitions into the last song. I've just gotta do the other 10 songs I have left haha.

    I took a two month hiatus from MTG Cardsmith. I am going to judge very soon, hopefully by the end of August. However, I start school in two weeks, so it might take a while, since I will have to focus on homework.
