War of the Spark Book: Best Moments *Spoiler Warning*
Spoilers ahead, read at your own risk.
These are a few of my favorite moments from the War book:
The ending between Chandra and Nissa is amazing and I couldn't have hoped for a better relationship for them.
Davriel Can stealing the elderspell from an eternal. I feel like this is foreshadowing and we might see him in the story later on. A powerhungry magic being an a path to godhood go great together as we have already seen.
Ral and Tomik's relationship, I feel like MTG has done a great job of representing the LGBTQ+ community without forcing it down our throats. There isn't much on it yet, but in their card arts, they are wearing strips of each other's robes and I can't wait for this to be fully fleshed out.
The attack on the planar bridge on Amonkhet. We may have a new set coming out later because of it (nothing confirmed). Ob Nixilis, Samut and Dack Fayden returned to destroy the Planar Bridge and it was revealed that the Bug Gods are gone, the Hekma is running again, and Naktamun is safe. Honestly I was hoping the survivors could follow where the Crested Sunmare came from and explored the whole plane.
Gideon's Sacrifice and death was an amazing way to go out and I think that him sacrificing himself for even Liliana and showed how loyal he was to his friends and fellow Gatewatch members. I never really liked him and I always called him Beefslab. His character arc ended there and they killed him off just as I started to like him, but his death made him more enjoyable. Thanks Gideon!
Mowu, he is a good doggo and I like how they even tried to explain him. He's a magic stone good boy.
Kaya basically going into debt to the Orzhov after killing the Obzedat. She felt weighed down because she fought the entire council herself.
Domri's death. He just wanted to ensue some chaos. A quote I believe: "I knew the dragon was eating sparks, but I never thought he would eat mine!"
Nahiri and Sorin, they got back to fighting and finally ended in a truce!
Extras: The new character Rat announced for the sequel to War, Forsaken. She will be one of the main characters along with Liliana, Teyo, Kaya, Jace, Ral and Vraska. I have heard rumors of her being Massacre Girl because of her design but Mark Rosewater denied it.
