I did it, I think...I figured it how to upload images. If you tap the "drop image here" screen, hold your finger down then slide slightly left or right then release it works, the option to upload pops up!! But just tapping it doesn't do anything for me ever.
I'll also see about adding a specific "Select Image" button for mobile only that will launch the file chooser. Its still unclear why ipads specifically are having an issue. Thanks all!
@Corwinnn, @mtgcardsmith There seems to be an issue for us where cards are said to have zero comments even when there are many comments. We notice this occurring on every area of MTGCardsmith other than our cards.
Is anyone else having this issue? We're hoping to not need to clear our browser data again.
Its likely an issue with disqus comments being tied to an http/https url for the card. Recently disqus switched to an all https platform, and ideally we'd like to do the same. The tradeoff is that there will be some comment loss in the interim, so timing is an issue unless there is an easy way to move over comments to the new url.
Currently though, we're researching the file upload issues mentioned by a few users. More on that as we make progress.
We're still working on full uploader support for OSX and Safari. In the meantime we've added a link to a fallback "legacy" option for uploading on Apple devices.
Update: It turns out the new uploader has an issue with some iOS devices specifically while in "private" mode. If you run into issues with any browser or device, please use the link labeled "Unsupported Browsers: Use Legacy Uploader"
- Fixed a few rare bugs with image uploader - Added {0} ability cost symbol to M15 ability area - Added Aether Revolt Set Symbol for all members - Added Illuminati Set Symbol for premium members - Squirreltopia set symbol currently available for everyone!
Another issue found by me. I seem to be the only mobile user...
I'm having trouble editing cards with premium with the new card maker. None of the original card data is saved, and it just jumps directly to the basic card maker whenever I press the pencil icon.
Given the issues you're having, there are two possibilities.
1) The browser isn't saving your data due to one of the many bugs currently on mobile Apple devices. 2) When you're forced into the old editor, the data isn't exchanged between the editors.
Interesting @TrippleBoggey3, thank you for the details. We will look into this - likely a remnant of the switchover to the new editor and passing data between them. Thanks.
The main issue is that when I click the edit button, it goes to the card maker 2.0 image uploader. I press the legacy card maker thing, and then after I upload the image, it turns back into some sort of normal card maker, with no information saved.
@TrippleBoggey3 thanks for the report, when we built out the legacy edit cards slipped through.
We've just made an update - now if you edit a card and follow the link to the legacy editor, your card session will carry over. Note: this session is on page load only, so if you need to start from the beginning, click the edit card link again to fully begin the process.
Just as a reminder to those confused about the loss of past comments on the MTGCardsmith site, there has been a recent update that requires the comments be transferred over.
This update is a change from HTTP to HTTPS support on the MTGCardsmith site for compatibility with the Disqus service.
(This comment is just a restating/bump to increase awareness.)
I've noticed that sometimes the artwork I upload through the new card maker comes out in a very low resolution..but it's not always the case so I'm confused. Is there a possible bug in this, or something I'm doing wrong?
@saveria201 I'm not sure as I haven't noticed this occurring in any significant extent. But if you have a highly detailed image it will end up losing important details and looking weird.
Also I'm sorry to bring up another problem but when I try the legacy uploader the image uploaded is always the upper left corner of the image regardless of what dimensions I resize. Doing this on an iPhone 6+, safari browser

Any news about fixing the issue? Sorry for being a bit pushy, I'm just craving for the chance to make a card.

Edit: Seems to be fixed for the time being!

This is on an Apple device right! I seem to have no issues on Samsung and other Android devices.
Yes, this is an iPad mini 3.
May you try using a different browser application, then reply with the results?
I'd do so, but I can't use our Apple device currently.

Any idea when this will be finished? I'm trying to edit all my cards before my premium expires.
In like 5-10 days.

Do you often have access to a desktop PC or a laptop? ...or do you usually use mobile?
I'm a poor student... Just mobile.
Actually I have more than enough money to buy a laptop, I just never had a need so I never bothered.

PM sent with more details.
Update: We've got the site moved over - but it may be a couple days for old Disqus comments to get migrated over. But we are working on it -thank you!

How are the comment fixes going? Should we suspect an update soon on the state of past comments?
