Sad to say that various life situations have conspired to keep me from writing a long post describing Aelfdane's intentions with the Ultimate Eye in all the detail it deserves.
When Jeremy and Aelfdane reach the Ultimate Eye it becomes clear that it is far too big and heavy for even Jeremy to carry. Even if he could, their chances of leaving the forest and sailing away safely is about nil. Instead Jeremy pulls out the secret cargo he'd been smuggling:
(This is a Kandra127 original)
The bag infact contains dozens or more of these petals, enough to aid the power of dreams a great deal. With the power of the lotuses behind them Aelfdane and Jeremy reach out with their minds to the Ultimate Eye and attempt to exploit it's connection to the Striders to psychically bind them to there dreams of friends and lost comrades, just as Aelfdane and Jeremy are bound together now.
In theory the Strider population will grow more willful, less unified, and less dependent on the Ultimate Eye for their intelligence.
(I am fairly happy with how that last card came out, and if HeroKP is alright with it, I'd like to make The Dreamer and the Thief represent my final push against the Striders. Also might I suggest giving the others a few more days? I got to be on the offensive in this challenge, and it seems fair to me they should get more time to formulate a response.)
@Derain2 Eh, we've got ideas as to what we're doing in place. Personally, I'm damned if I'm taking extended pity, though I'm aware that the others might or might not hold opinions that differ.
Aelfdane may have been a master thief, but there may have been one factor she wasn’t counting on. The Eye itself.
As soon as she graced the Main Island with her presence, the Eye knew. Did she notice the unusual amount of things in her way, put there by the Eye?
Did she know how easily she could be cleansed from Jeremy’s mind, or even herself and Jeremy converted as the Striders and Dragons were?
The Eye’s plan was complete anyway. Finding the ultimate consciousness here wasn’t easy, but it was done. Krystel’s soul had been found.
How easily Krystel was convinced that it didn’t want these usurpers tainting the land with war. Slowly, surely, Krystel agreed to the Ultimate Eye. The soon to come Planar War must be stopped. Krystel itself was there in stopping it, bringing peace to all, and was there to stop Aefdane if the Eye didn’t itself. And with a little help from others, maybe peace could be brung to the large territory Elta controlled.
Here's my entry. It's five minutes late, but... Time's been a little stressful. (I'll write a story when I can, even if we lose. Today's been a busy day for me)
But when a player fleshes out EVERY DETAIL OF THE ROYAL COURT, then uses a DEAD FACTION to steal an artifact from a DIFFERENT FACTION, and then subverts all expectations by having the MOTHER OF THEIR LEADER TURN INTO A VAMPIRE...
@Derain2 Good game, kind of guessed it would happen from the moment that @HeroKP announced a 3v1.
@HeroKP I, on the other hand, developed a degree of genuine hatred of House Elta for doing nothing in the final few challenges but steal other peoples game-plans without a real base in doing so.
Ah well, it was good and I had expected my faction's death on multiple previous occasions, so it ended better than expected (though worse than I had hoped).

[If it's necessary, I'll sacrifice my faction and retreat what remains from the plane if that's what it takes to see House Elta burn.]
We would like K'Thrilia's Fragments back now.

There's not a lot that can beat that.
Come up and join @ASubtleGhost and @Hergusbergus in the throne room!
