Planeswalkers of Tournament Play
Whenever you walk into a Magic the Gathering Tournament there are always a few decks you know you will likely play against. Sure you may run into an odd brew here or there, but if you are playing modern you are probably going to run into an affinity deck, or death's shadow. The same can be said for nearly all formats of magic. But, according to the lore these decks are being piloted by planeswalkers.
What I want you all to do is design a planeswalkers based around a commonly played deck. Give the planeswalker some backstory and tell us what kind of powers they have. What does the infect planeswalkers look like, or the death and taxes planeswalkers look like. If a deck was eventually banned, maybe that is a planeswalker that died or lost it's spark ( I personally want to know what the eggs planeswalker looks like).

Planeswalker Name: Ix (no last name)
Race: Wizard
Powers: Pyromancy.
Represents: BURN. If that was not obvious.
Story:
Ix is quite strange, he is not... anything. Its used pyromancy and dark rituals to bring shades into its spells. Its devastated any village he entered.
They way its Spark ignited is... horrifying. While making shades, they attacked it, it could not fight back, then its spark ignited and it became the Great Reveler, burning every shade to death.
Now it lives on Theros. Reveling.
