Where do you get Art for cards?

I just get mine off of Google Images and then figure out the artist there.

Comments

  • I get mine off of google images, and I occasionally use artstation.
  • I have seen ArtStation a lot, is it really that good to use?
  • First Artstation and then DeviantArt.
If I haven't found anything relevant by then, I'll go check google, pinterest or on rare occasion, some other sites that are best not mentioning here.
  • I've created a profile on ArtStation and DeviantArt. I use them to fave/like and gather neat artworks to my collections. With those same profiles, I follow skillful artists and get notifications whenever they publish their latest works. If I dig their artwork (and will most likely use it here because of that), I give it a favorite/like. It's the least I can do, and I think it's easier to look for the artworks you want to use in your cards from your own profiles rather than going blind into the web to look for artworks from sites who do not credit the artists.

I like to look for artworks for my future cards during my free time and I think it's rather fun to find an amazing artist whom you've never heard of, then browse their neat gallery. If you want to, you can check my profiles and check out/use the artworks which I've gathered:

    ArtStation profile.

    DeviantArt profile.

There's a channel here where people can post pages for artwork.
  • Pinterest
  • @AmisJoe, whenever I go to Pinterest for art, I have trouble finding the artist.
  • @Ranshi922 I usually google the picture to get the source, I know it's a pain.... But Pinterest is by far the best resource of art I've found. It's amazing how I can have boards for my sets and then sub-boards for different guilds or colors or however you want to organize it. And then the recommendations are pretty cool.
