Artist Spotlight Challenge: Pete Mohrbacher-RESULTS
In my endless quest to find cool art for my cards, I stumbled upon a certain mister Pete Mohrbacher on deviant art. He has created countless incredible works depicting strange god-like beings. I have founding that creating cards inspired by his art is a lot of fun. So, I figured why not allow my fellow Cardsmithers to do the same!
The challenge is to create a creature card with art from Pete Mohrbacher's deviant art account, which I will link to. The rules are short and simple
-It must be a creature card
-You are allowed infinite entrees
-I will be judging on around July 18th
-You must use art from this account: https://www.deviantart.com/petemohrbacher
I will be awarding prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. They are as follows:
1st- 5 favorites
2nd- 3 favorites
3rd- 2 favorites
Anywho, I'll be checking this daily for if anyone has questions. Good luck!

His real name is Peter Mohrbacher.
I will create a card for this soon.
Agent of Celian is an older card of mine while Daedalus, Esoteric Outcast is relatively new.
Made for my 5 color pantheon set I am currently making.
Also for my 5 color pantheon set.
Cheers!
And this looks like such fun
The brother of Ixtos.
I could have done more, but I wanted to avoid (a) the small text and (b) color breaks.
3rd place- @Ilmarinen
Keeper of the Heavenly Prison is certainly a powerful card, maybe too powerful. Looping 1-drop creature with a sacrifice outlet or a 3-drop with a power ETB trigger is very easy to do and very powerful. However, there are so many cool things you can do with this card such as looping lifegain creature or playing a spicy blink deck. It is also an effect that benefits all players, which does balance the card. This card is juts simple and very unique. There are so many uses for this card. The only con I see is the fact that this is probably a little too good. Regardless, this card is great. Well done Ilmarinen!
2nd place- @Daedalus_The_All_Father
The god cycle was really cool. They were all powerful cards with effects that really embodied the colors of the cards. The true thing that I loved about these cards was the Pantheon mechanic. It was super flavorful and cool. I really enjoyed all of the god cards. It was also a great use of Pete Mohrbacher's art. Nice job.
AND FINALLY, FOR THE BIG REVEAL. THE MOMENT YOU HAVE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR
DRUMROLL PLEASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSE
1st place- @Temurzoa !!!!!!!!!!
I feel like you really earned the win. I loved Jiago the Moonkissed and Brinera, the Tidelasher. They were both amazingly cool cards that shape the game in unique ways. I don't have much to say other than that I wish I had made those cards. Amazing job Temurzoa!
