Card of the Month
What if every month, the top five most favourited cards are entered in to a special poll for "Card of the Month".
The community votes for their favourite cards and the card with the most votes receives "Card of the Month" status, and should be featured on the main page.
This post fits in to no categories and is a simple suggestion for the future of the card maker site.
Tell me if you think this is a good idea: If it gets more support, it could become a thing!

Personally don't mind the idea as long as it is taken seriously
I've only been here for what, 3-4 days? And I'd say it's a decently polite community, agreed.
No one seems to be dickweeds, but there are some people who get very defensive at constructive criticism.
Your smiley betrays your words. I obviously cannot trust you. #Illuminati.
This is important information.
I like the idea of spotlighting a card smith. Not sure how it'd work. Maybe a light brunch and respectful interview, bio and synopsis on their life and trials, hobbies and favourite foods. Ha ha. I do think spotlighting an artist, for the simple sake of exposure, is a neat idea, but even as I write this, I don't think that does much for the site.
Fundamentals, mechanics, ebb and flow of the site, that's where the focus should be for making the site better.
We have a favourites counter. Featured card. Favourited cards. Commented cards(this is usally skewed by nonsensical ramblings), but there is a fair amount of focus on us already. I think we're good for now.
This is my opinion, and mayhaps I be wrong. If democracy reign, then let the gavel fall in favour.
Yes. Indeed.
I can see the merit in that argument.
I was seeing it as sort of an 'extra tier' above Featured Cards.
What would essentially happen is that it would become a contest between the cards which featured in a given month, as those always receive the most favorites (or sometimes, highly favorited cards get featured-- the causality works out to the same).
But if it's a question of developmental effort for the health of the site, there are other things to be worked on.
