  Choosing how to value cards is part of the MTG experience for players. Some "trash" cards are a challenge for builders to make a decent deck with them, and many are considered "Good in Limited," so they will shine in a draft or sealed setting, but not in constructed. And there are cards that are great in constructed that would be trash in a limited environment. If all the cards in a set are equally desirable, there's nothing for collectors or tournament players to chase and trade for. Best of luck with your set building! I hope it goes well.

  I appreciate the feedback; I'm glad to know that this isn't such a wild idea.
  
  I could use some direct input on one of my first cards for the new set. The theme is centered around the kingdoms of Man turning toward non-magically enhanced industry and what that will mean in a plan in the multiverse that is MtG.
