Verth thought he was overwhelmed before coming to Woewedt, but now nothing made sense. With the way that all the lycanthropes and elven clans were united, It seemed as though Verth's dreams of peace and unity had come true. If this wasn't some illusion or devilish trick played by Timothy, then this clan would win the war for Stitia. Verth didn't want to break this opportunity with distrust by sneaking in, and so he flew away, landed in a place relatively far from the new hometree's entrance, reverted to his human form, and walked straight towards the entrance. He wanted to hear answers from the people who were guarding the hometree.
"Hello there," Verth greeted the guards in a friendly manner. "I overheard that there was a new clan that formed in former Bloodwood territory. I take it that this is what they were speaking of? If so, I would like to know more about your clan, if you don't mind."
(I definitely think u should make a Stitia chat. Also a Stitia D&D game? YES PLEASE!)
Nahri is interested. Enerew is interested. DrakeGladis is quite interested, but also is concerned over the schedule. He is going to be starting college soon...
@EpicBoss99 The guard, a dark elf, inspects you with his eyes, noticing the Duskwood marking on your hand.
"We are the Rootforged, fair ranger. We do apologize, but currently our leader Zacarias is on urgent business. Something about the summoning of... Khantsievth and Conse, as foretold. When the vision struck us, he sought to act immediately. We ourselves cannot do much to assist you, but if you have any questions I'd be grateful to answer."
"When was the Rootforged formed and what are your motives?" Verth asked cautiously. He had a feeling that these elves were to be trusted, but he still wasn't sure. He wished he didn't have to be so suspicious for traps, but Timothy has forced him to always be wary. "I have spent so much time in Delvad and Ystheria that I had no idea that there was a new organization in Stitia."
@EpicBoss99 "We would understand. We were formed merely a month ago, under the banner of our fair Great Monk. We seek what all should seek; to foster life and peace. To unite all living beings. It is a shame our search for peace has brought us to arms against the gods,.."
Verth's suspicions were now cleared up. Though word of mouth wasn't the most reliable source of trust, Verth had a strong feeling, perhaps influenced by his new magical abilities, that the guard was pure of heart. "I know not of this conflict with the gods, but I do know this: we are fighting for the same cause. To save Stitia and its people. I know your leader isn't here right now, but what must I do to join the Rootforged?"
Enerew suspects that the angel isn't really all for the six either, but instead wants them to leave for some other reason. However, he is unwilling to just reveal everything. Instead he attempts to get inside the angels head, controlling her and finding out all the needed information. Such a spell obviously won't last for long, but it should allow him some time to figure out her intentions and decide on a course of action. If it works, and she is indeed against the Six, we all will loot the armory and plant the entrance.
Watch as all this turns out to be is an RPG campaign between friends. And you can even explain somethings with that: Niyan going away is one guy having to leave the campaign early on. The new characters could be new players. Verth planeswalking away could be Verth's player moving away for a bit but still wanting to use the same character.
@Tommia So, a few months and around 10 Stitia saga pages ago you asked if I wanted to rejoin the saga, and I was wondering if I would still be able to. Not as Niyan, of course, as he is currently stuck in the Midnight Mansion and I feel like I've used up whatever plot armor he had just keeping him alive in any thread. And with the fact that I'm stuck inside my house anyways, I have no excuse to procrastonate so I shouldn't just disappear for large periods of time.
@Aggroman15 If you want to rejoin, all you'll have to do is submit your character. Of course, much has changed (Yrntrn has been destroyed). In addition, the deadline is drawing close for new players to join, as we're about to reach a significant part of the story...
Right now, you would be unable to submit an angel or demon as a character, or take control of such a character, at this time.
Ok cool! My new character is Vin, who is an artificer. He's originally from Yrntrn, but after finishing his artificer training, he decided to travel the plane in search of new experiences and inspiration for his devices. On a trip to Delvad, he got bit by a werewolf, only barely escaping with his life. He soon found that he had been given the curse of lycanthropy from the encounter.
(Supernatural Event)
(With his lycanthropy, think of it as Bruce Banner transforming into the Hulk. One is really smart but not physically strong, and the other is a big, powerful beast with very little brains.)
With his newfound lycanthropy, Vin knew that he couldn't have himself just randomly transforming into a violent beast. So he sought out a woodland mystic for help. Said mystic imbued an amulet that Vin created with magic that allowed him to have some control over the transformation. Eventually, he found that having a powerful beast that he could summon nearly at will as long as he had the amulet on hand was pretty useful when wandering the dangerous lands of Stitia.
Basic Stats:
Race: Human Werewolf Occupation: Artificer Strengths/Weaknesses: In human form, Vin is extremely smart, but isn't much of a physical fighter. In werewolf form, he's very strong physically, but is severely lacking in intelligence. Current Sector: Ystheria
// @EpicBoss99@Aggroman15 Certain elements of your backstories line up. Rolls have been made to determine relationship.
Vin: Uvras's life as a teacher of magic meant he frequently travelled the world to tutor. At one point time, Uvras taught at the school Vin studied at, serving as his mentor for a time. Vin became a well respected Artificer, earning top marks in his class before deciding to go to Delvad.
During his time in Delvad, Vin occasionally visited Uvras, and during one of their talks, Vin asked about a weapon he was silvering. Uvras said it was for "his best friend, a werewolf hunter". These visits were regular, but on that fateful night, when Vin was bitten, he desperately fled, fearing what would happen if Uvras found out he was a werewolf...
Verth: In his talks with Uvras, Verth learned a lot about his trips to other parts of Stitia, and about his greatest student, Vin. During Vin's move to Delvad, Verth had heard talk about him, and even talked to him one day while he was at Uvras's hut, though Vin doesn't know it was Verth he was talking to.
On one fateful night, Uvras came to Verth, concerned. Vin hadn't been seen in weeks, and wanted Verth to help find him. When they went out, the search seemed fruitless, until Verth saw him... transforming. It was painful news to bear, and Verth felt wrong taking a blade up against him, so he went back to Uvras and mentioned nothing about the encounter...
@Aggroman15 Over your time in Ystheria, a lot has changed. Days no longer pass; only a bright red moon lights the world, one which has slowly made your werewolf form much more powerful... and less controllable. You are lying low in Fevrmor, where no one seems to bother you as you go about your life as an artificer. Thankfully for you, the plague hasn't really gotten to where you are; only one case was confirmed, but a swift "quarantine" helped keep everyone from getting sick.
Due to an overpopulation issue in Fevrmor, an elderly couple has allowed you to rent their shed, and you share their cottage with their two sons...
Now...
You sit at lantern light in a shed just outside the house, burning the midnight oil to finish a new invention. Using magic, you shape the metal, taking care as you put the last piece into place. A satisfying click breaks the silence, and the device begins to work. You step back, and smile. A clock, a luxury you haven't had since you fled Delvad. Now, all you have to do is-
*KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK*
You jump back, and realize someone's at the door. You open it, and you're surrounded by patrolmen. How didn't you notice them approaching? Perhaps you were so engaged in your work that you didn't pay any mind.
"Freeze- uh- hold on!" "This... this isn't who we're looking for, but didn't he go missing?" "We'll worry about that in a moment." The patrolman in the front clears his throat and enters. "Young man. I'm going to say this, and I'm only going to say this once. We are looking for two men a little older than you. Their names are Kregg and Durst Helmsley. They were last seen together." The patrolman pulls out a scroll, and the faces are... strikingly familiar, as are the names. "These men are wanted for several acts of piracy, twenty seven counts of manslaughter, and three kidnappings. Do you know them?"
You want to say something, but can't. Suddenly, a lead ball whips past you, and you're in shock as the patrolman in front of you drops dead, a hole blasted clean through his skull.
"S**t! It's a trap!" One of the patrolmen yell out as they prepare to defend themselves. "Hey Vin!" You hear Durst yell out from the cottage. "Could you do us a favor and help us out?" "It's Vin! We found him! Let's make sure he gets out of here alive!" "He's our brother!" Kregg announces. "He's staying with us!"
Will you help the brothers, help the patrol, lie low, or try to slip out?
If your choose to fight, you must make a card to deal with Kregg and Durst or three 1/1 white Soldier creature tokens. If you choose to escape, you must make a card that provides an evasive/protective ability. The passing score is 10 out of 15. For a refresher, cards are judged primarily based on realism, balance, originality, and syntax.
Due to a drop in participants, I've decided to spice up Stitia a bit. To appeal to a wider audience, I'm making the following changes, effective immediately.
Llamas are now a frequently occurring creature type.
The names of regions are being changed.
Players will be teleported to the "Staging Sc-area" in The Beyond, once they confirm they have read this by saying "OK". Then, they will have to choose a region to drop to.
The new goal is to kill everyone.
Players will have to search for mana sources to tap into to cast their spells. They can also find helpful supporting items such as potions.
At the start of each week, a region will be chosen at random. At the end of each week, anyone still there will be eliminated.
Twice every real-time day, you can move to an adjacent region, search your region, or use a transportation line in your region.
If you go into a region adjacent to another player, you'll start a duel! Make a card (and they'll do the same) using the mana sources you have, and the best card wins,
Each player starts with 4 Treasures (use these to add one mana of any color!)
Please consult the Realm of 13 Llamas to determine where you want to start.
