(LORE) "This is a problem." Alon had called a council meeting to discuss the fact that their shamans' magical connection was weakening. "I believe we should send for advice from the salamanders, or the clans." Said Al'a. "Unfortunately, we have been sent word that they are experiencing a similar problem. They can not help us" Replied the priest. A rasping sound comes from the edge of the glade. Kuk'ta lies there, watching the 2-legs. "Contact his Majesty" The enormous spider's voice is dry and crackling. Alon nods and walks to the edge of the glade, grabs a handful of flies from his pouch and sets them on fire.
"On a group of islands to the south, you will find a single trail. The trail leads to a monument built by the creators of Tyrome. You must destroy the obelisk, or the worldsoul will abandon you completely." Says the king. Alon and Al'a waste no time in gathering Kuk'ta's Bridge-weavers and building a long web to the seas to the south. It takes quite a long time, but eventually, the webfolk discover an island to the south.
They find the monument and Alon, using the mandibles of a dead 8-leg, smashes the item. Instantly, a wealth of green mana rushes through Alon, and he hears the King of Webs saying, "You are one step closer to Tyrome." (The obelisk is my entry)
For some reason, the Hordes decide that the best way to appease the worldsoul is to ... build a temple dedicated to it and make sacrifices to it? Not really sure why but it seems to work, so ...
In the eyes of the Children of Dust, the only entity that needs appeasement is the Old One. All else exists only to serve him, even if they don't know it. This is no different for the Soul of this world, and Hastyr commands his children to spread their magic and essences throughout the seas where they travel, and slowly begin to corrupt and defile the storms that harass them, eventually harnessing them and using them to further their travels into the plane, travelling in ghosly hosts funnelled by the High Prophet's magic within the waves.
The crew of the Red Giant were in a massive panicked frenzy as they struggled to keep the ship afloat in the midst of the vicious waves that'd come to attack. The land societies were raised to be closer to the skies, so they should be safe from flooding, but at sea, this was a new issue entirely. Amidst the cacophony of screaming and crashing water, Stargazer Serise sat in her studies, reading. Her relative tranquility would be short-lived, however, as Stargazer Chulane burst through the door, soaking wet.
"Serise-"
" 'My lady.' "
Chulane rolls his eyes. This wasn't the time for formalities. "My lady, the seas are being incredibly vicious!"
"Of course they are. We were told that the oceans of this land would be unforgiving."
"No, you don't understand, it's as if the world itself is against us!"
"Nonsense, how could some inanimate force possibly try to attack anyone?"
Stargazer Chulane grumbles and returns back out to the boat and the rest of the crew.
"Brace yourselves! Don't stop, and when you're too worn out, push yourself just a little further! We need to show we're tougher than whatever nonsense this world can throw at us! We revere and wield the might of the outer cosmos! We're not just gonna let some silly ocean stop us!" He's met with a rallying cry from the crew, though it was muffled by the crashing water.
Serise watches the spectacle out of her window. "I knew he was a good man to put in charge." She returns to her desk to sip her tea. A large wave rocks the boat, spilling it everywhere. If there was to be any hope for the Stargazer Society, they'd need to survive this first.
I haven't, actually, it just turned out quite tedious to keep up, and a lot of people started using mtg.design, which just defeated the entire purpose of a canon card compilation

Instead made from the MSE.
Don't you worry. The west coast is about to wake up!

Sorry for the delay, I have been off island for the past week...
The card formerly known as Weather the Storm has been ever so slightly adjusted.
