"Well, that was fun- DEAR GOD!"

Ytsix arrives just at the end of the battle, having been given a fully functioning prosthetic created by a Phyrexian artificer.

"So, um... are, we going to clean up? Or do I get to spend the next few hours staring at guts? Well... at least I have this now. What does it do anyways?"

Using leftover magic from his generator, he snaps his finger, and suddenly, the guts in the arena disappear. Realizing that Ytsix somehow has extra mana, the masters once again take him out of the audience, and force him to discharge his generator.
  • Can I exchange pepsi for vanilla coke?
  • And I am still playing with the other prosthetic... The incomplete one.
  • Ytsix can’t seem to find it, so he just sets to making a new one.
  • We were gettig closer to the end of the first round of battles, The masters had learned a thing or two from the powerful displays of magic seen so far. They had not expected them to put the structure of the arena in danger, yet it happened. This time they decided to be more careful, and limit the mages if they were to cast spells too compromising.

That settled, they allowed the next pair of mages to enter, the first ( @memoryhead ) stepped into the stage and quickly cracked their scraps first, bending the mana in their hands, creating a complex spell. The masters and audience, distracted by the actions of Memory, had forgotten for a second that the opposing wizard was supposed to be there already. This gave the masters a creeping chill. They quickly started an alarm, closed entrances to the arena and began looking for the other mage.

Memory was distinctly not interested in their opponent, they simply finished the spell in what seemed to be a fine work of efficiency and power.

Whilst the panic filled every corner of the arena for the lost mage, the bizarre construct stood there, bending the flow of air around it in even more perplexing way. Right when the masters were about to cancel the fight, a massive figure jumped from one of the stage's corners flying in a parabola heading to Memory's location.

    image

@ThePhantomJoker approached with incalculable momentum to their opponent, however, the construct's bizarre shape ran to intercept Joker mid air. Still empowered by their spells energy, Joker grabbed the construct's horn-spire shaped head and slammed it into the floor when touching it. The mere impact of the fall put the arena's foundations to the test again.

Even when everyone else felt the hit, the construct did not suffer much damage, it rammed into Joker, this one trying to avoided and still pumped, could only move the direction of the attack slightly, making it damage the wall at impact.

The master saw again the arena itself in danger, they had to stop this before it became any more dangerous to contain. The vents were opened once again, this time letting a measure of control to stop both them from destroying the arena.

    image

Both mages became weaker, not being accounted in the rushed decision, the artificial nature of the creature made it immune to the fumes, it kept attacking and damaging the walls while Joker could only avoid it with their increased stamina left from their spell.

The fumes increased in order to neutralize both mages and stop the fight but eventually Joker was just slow enough to be a clear target. Memory directed with the little concentration they had left and Joker was hit by the construct and bled out enough for the match to be considered won.

You made a mess down there but the battle is over. @memoryhead wins this match and moves to the next round. You get 2 favs nd my spend them in store!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Congrats all! That was suitably dramatic... and interesting.
  • I'm not even mad at that I lost. Reading about my Dramatic Entrance was just too fun. Good game @MemoryHead
  • “You know. I really am tired of being taken away to do time spells. Whatever happened to a good old fashioned punch to the face? Maybe if you’d make your arena out of something other than bones it wouldn’t do this!”

Ytsix should of thought before he spoke. Being the only artificer in the arena, he gets dragged away once more to reinforce it.
  • @ThePhantomJoker Good match.

@Tommia Is the artifact that forces me into being an artificer that I made a joke to you?
  • @MermoryHead // No, but I’m pretty sure you’d be busy at this moment
  • @Tommia Yep, just a little busy with the whole being poisoned thing.
  • When do I do something? My match drew.

The surviving wizards rest in their cells, allowed to recover and given some healing for the next round of battles. The masters are concerned by the power these mages have displayed with such limited mana, they design the next step to be in the outskirts of the arena.

The mages's cages are thrown into a dark canyon-like formation. an open sky to the most nightmarish storm is above them. If they are going to destroy a place, it better be this one.

A thundering voice fills the place and is heard in every single corner:
"ATTENTION! YOU WILL CONTINUE YOUR BATTLES HERE. ANY ATTEMPT OF LEAVING WILL RESULT IN YOUR EXTERMINATION.

EACH ONE OF YOU IS GIVEN A BATTERY-KEY. YOU NEED AT LEAST TWO FOR YOUR CAGE TO HAVE LIFE-SUPPORT, OR ELSE, THE GASSES IN THIS CANYON WILL SUFFOCATE YOU...

    GOOD HUNTING!"

    ROUND TWO!

All the surviving mages, you have to hunt each other, you may hunt whoever you want, but you also have to survive. For this round:

    1. Create one or more spells to hunt down your selected prey. It can be anything, again, this is only to represent what you want to do. Planeswalkers are not allowed.

    2. Create one or more spells to protect yourself from hunting mages. Planeswalkers are not allowed.

    3. You are each given FIVE SCRAP TOKENS and TWO TREASURE TOKENS for your spells in addition to any tokens you have saved from the previous round.

    4. The effectiveness criteria is the same:
    -5 points for balance
    -4 points for flavor
    -3 point for originality
    -2 points for clarity

    5. Mention in the personal message any person you might be hunting. Instructions on what actions your spell is representing won't be judged but will be taken in consideration when designing the fight.

WIZARDS START YOUR ENGINES, AND MAY THE BEST WITCH WIN!

@bowler218 Given that your opponent left the competition, you survive. Let's say he choked on a hotdog. WELCOME TO THE HUNT

  • Use the two that I pm'd you, I'll send more later
  • So I have seven scrap tokens and three treasures. Cool!
  • I messaged you. My plan is pretty weird...
  • werewolves...hunting... And now I'm the biggest threat. Great.
  • Ok. Time to get serious.
  • What are the matchups?
  • @shadow123 there are no matchups, you have to hunt whoever you want and avoid being hunted. When I have all the cards, I will elaborate a HUGE fight involving everyone and declare the survivors.
  • REMEMBER EVERYONE, YOU ONLY HAVE TO SUCCESFULLY HUNT 1 PERSON AND SURVIVE TO GET TO THE FINALE, THEIR BATTERY-KEY PLUS YOUR OWN MAKES TWO, IF YOU GET IT YOU CAN GO BACK TO YOUR CELL AND ACTIVATE LIFE SUPPORT.
  • Do we say who we want to hunt when messaging you or is it just the best cards out of the whole group?
  • You each send me your cards via personal message and tell me who you are hunting. I should have clarified, thanks @shadow123 updating the rules now.
  • No problem. Thanks for the clarification(s).

@Pepperoni Will enter tomorrow. I have a few questions.

    - How will spells with multiple targets work? Doubt I’ll be making one, but for everyone’s sake.
    - What is the spell/target limit?
    - Can I not die? (Okay that one wasn’t serious)

@Tommia Take your time, it will be laborious for you as well as everyone else.

    1. If you are hunting more than one person, you can reflect it by having your spell have multiple targets, that would be good for flavor points. Otherwise, if you are hunting more than one but don't reflect it, I can power the spell down so you can cast it twice and ration your mana. For example, let's say you design a Shock and are hunting someone, I can make you only use it once and fail (because your spell was trash) and didn't cast it to all it's power; then you hunt someone else, maybe you can use the leftover power to try to attack them close range to make sure you hit. And so on, and so on, as you have seen from former battles, I use many resources to spice the fight. You just make a good spell, I'll see how to make an interesting battle out of it.
    2. There's no spell nor prey limit as long as you can pay for them with your scraps and treasures.
    3. If you survive, you don't die!
  • When do we have to submit the cards? Is there a deadline?
