Critters of the Multiverse
Okay...
This might be a strange one. You know these?
At first these cards seem almost random and unrelated to each other. But they all share something in common: These are creatures unique to Magic, and add a level of uniqueness and flavor to the game. They help make each set pop and have a sense of self when compared to the rest of the game, and I have always found them to be some of the most interesting cards in Magic.
So, what's the challenge?
CREATE YOUR OWN "CRITTER OF THE MULTIVERSE."
Create a new kind of creature that fits onto a new or existing plane in the multiverse (If you go for a new plane, explain It should have its own name, abilities, powers, or at least some kind of defining aspect, and a strong level of flavor and lore. It should feel like it fits on its assigned plane. Feel free to add on backstory and extra information about your critter, as lore is a big part of this contest.
An example by me:
RULES/RESTRICTIONS
- You can enter up to 3 different creatures, but you can make up to 3 cards for each of those creatures. If you decide to make several cards for a single creation, please submit them all on the same comment.
- Not all cards have to be a creature (some can be cards depicting abilities/lore) but at least one should be a creature for each entry.
- Don't use MTG art or art that clearly depicts an already existing creature. If you can't find good art for your creatures, I recommend going on Artstation and finding a strong piece, then building around it.
- CREDIT YOUR ARTISTS!!! I will accept uncredited cards but they will be docked several points.
JUDGING
- Realism and balance. Your card should feel like a ream MTG card and fit nicely in the designated plane. While most of these creatures are rather weak commons, some are very powerful so I will accept all power levels/rarities. That said, cards should be balanced, playable, and not over-powered.
- Flavor and creativity. The abilities of the card should reflect its magical abilities or interesting aspects. Be creative with your creature.
- Lore!!! Give me a description. What do they do? What plane are they from, and how do they interact with it? Give me some funny or informative flavor text. Give me backstory. How did they come to be?
Each section counts for up to 10 points, for a total of up to 30 points.
PRIZES

Kulets (Bull Ape hybrid)
Might do a different creature later.
Feel free to specify which plane(s) Kulets live on and how the gain control ability works in terms of the lore, both of those could get you more points!
Don't know where they come from yet.
What plane do they come from? It doesn't have to be an existing plane.

ENTRY ONE - Lithorian:
ENTRY TWO - Terracada:
Lithorians are the stone-folk of Tarkir and Terracada are their pets and beasts of burden.
They are based on Tony Yin's awesome project and I developed them as a group. Lithorians carve and chisel themselves the same way we would cut our hair. As they are comprised of stone, they are able to chisel intricate designs into their extremities and stand out from one another. They mostly try to stay aloof from other races of Tarkir and their troubles, but who knows when they might have no choice left.
Tony Yin had this to day about my project:
"Great job man! You really found a nice way to put those art together!
If I ever decide to make a card game I will come to you."
- Tony Yin
Shima (The word) Is Japanese for island. The creatures are colossal aquatic creatures who cultivate gardens on there backs, to satisfy their Temur-coloured creativity. Then they sleep for ages. While they are asleep, people come and settle their backs (This sometimes wakes them up).
(I know these technically exist in magic (https://gatherer.wizards.com/pages/card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=2161) but this is a different species.)
(I tried to make more but most of the art for these things doesn't work.)
That said I'll give it one last bump to see if anyone else wants to participate.
FINAL BUMP!!!!!
