I live where the Lenape tribes used to. I did some research into their myths a while back, and while I could've done the story of the Rainbow Crow, it felt too obvious. Unfortunately, the illustration I used is simply a masked forest spirit, but for the sake of cardsmithing, it's close enough. Mesingw is a sort of spirit/god of hunting and is charged with the protection of the woods, known to guide hunters who pay respects to it and the land while ensuring that the disrespectful ones get lost and are never seen again. That combined with my liking for masks, made this the obvious local legend to cover. For more on Mesingw, click here.
