I will judge this tomorrow. If no one else enters, you'll win all 1st to 3rd places and get 12 faves!
Think about additional costs of spells, activation costs of activated abilities, or something you do when you cast or trigger things. Maybe you can get some ideas from those.
Also I prefer names that are used in MtG world, not in the gameplay. "Phyrexian mana" for example, is not "Life mana". What would "Dominarian mana" be like?
Unhinged idea: Literal mana symbol. Like more bold or something. (Can only be paid by building a mini version of it. Like building a mini mountain using the literal dirt, or maybe sand to cast a Lightning Bolt lmao.)

Opal mana {_/_/_/_/_} Opal mana can bee payed with one mana of any colour, but not colourless. (This would be very easy to pay.)
