You mean like a story for my set, @Scott_Anderson? I kind of have...
So the group with the Esper colors is called the Triumvirate who is led by this person who is pretty much three people at the same time and I don't know how that happened but hey this is magic I guess. The Triumvirate is just trying to control everything. Simple. They are like a combination of the Orzhov, Dimir and a evil version of the Azorius.
Only thing standing in their way is... The Primal Ones
They are the group with Gruul colors. They are alot like the Gruul (Does'nt need explaining) but their shamans, clerics and whatnot are alot like the Selesyna. They are trying to maintain the small amount of wilderness left and also trying to take the rest back.
So the Triumvirate and Primal Ones are constantly fighting. Simple. That's the story for my part of the set.
With the pace this has slowed to, I am fairly certain I can get back to work before too much of a gap is wrought. I am scheduled to be done with my cramped semester in the next week and a half.
@ranshi no worries. We are all working slowly as it turns out.
Your name card is a marvelous concept and especially so since you’re working with curses as a central theme!
The ability to tutor repeatedly is already very strong. Is it possible that it could either be: limited to that one creature, rather than any creature while he’s out; or that the creature has to do combat to a player or player/planeswalker? This gives the defender a chance to stop it, even if it’s just a chump block.
@Scott_Anderson, the card was actually made by TenebrisNemo. I just had his permission to make a copy with the epithet that I had been using in flavor text.
I’ve got almost all of the multicolor cards done. I’m doing Jeskai Survivors vs Golgari Zombies. I’ve gotten distracted from it lately but I’ll get back to it soon.
I am not able to do much of anything right now; teachers are piling on the homework. I do have story, but not much else, and I am open to people taking over because of such. I am sorry, and I would prefer to keep the story if someone does take over, but I cannot smith cards and accomplish my schoolwork. Schoolwork takes priority.
I'm just making cards for my personal set, which involves a bunch of random cards; it's almost not a set tbh. The better cards from there will go to Gaifal.
As far as story goes, that's my weak point. But once the cards are finished, I'll find a way to tie them in. Just a loose story for them.
I only have story. That is just something that sits in my head and conglomerates like early planetesimals. I don't have time to smith though. Part of me being able to story is that I have advanced creative writing, which focuses on long plot arcs, unifying themes, etc. However, me making cards during that time is both impossible and forbidden. TL;DR, thanks, but I have that bit covered @EnvyReaper
Ok so mechanically, my island will be based in auras. Wherein the Selesnya side is buffs and creature care, the Grixis will be a curse control concept. I only have one intentional card for the Selesnya and it destroys all curse attached to a player.

@thewanderer with a couple of exceptions the whole collection is excellent in terms of mechanics and every card has awesome flavor. Very good job.
So, @Scott_Anderson, it's not going too good.
Have you thought up a premise or a setting so far? That can help spur your imagination.

Are there any main characters? Stuff for Legend cards and/or planeswalkers?
I can create the essential characters

I can come up with the story...
Also I don't really have alot of time to make the actual cards.

Just keep thinking and make some cards when it feels right.
I think you should just give Gruul vs. Esper to someone else. I don't have many card ideas, and I don't have time to make them.
