Also the draw thing has a potential for a commander table to cycle through a lot of their deck, and one creature dying can often just be a boardwipe.

@IzItTru, @HeroKP, I understand what your saying, it took me a minute to see the infinite loop... Now, how could I keep it similar and fix the loop?

The Lost prefer to avoid fighting if possible so we build up our resources and defenses. If we are attacked, we have no problem fighting back but we will not initiate anything. We will expand as much as possible on the island we are currently exploring while finding new ways to accomplish what we want.

    P.S. Lore card coming soon.

Gareth knows that our allies, the Banned Ones, are having a bit of trouble with another group on this plane so he sends someone he trusts to assist in the fight. Meret and his soldiers are trained in the subtle art of destroying the very fabric of reality itself. Meret is especially powerful, being able to wreak havoc in ways few can understand and even fewer could hope to stop.

@DrakeGladis Help was promised so it was given.
  • wo-HO-HO @Daedalus_The_All_Father

@EnvyReaper, bring out the popcorn! The good stuff is starting!
  • @HeroKP
This spat between me and these craftily created constructs is nothing. Expect a lot more fireworks-wise AFTER I win. Because if I win and gain their territories, I will have enough space to start work on the BIG ONE!!!
    @Daedalus_The_All_Father
Thank you very much for the special forces. I am not abashed to admit that your assistance is extremely helpful.
  • @DrakeGladis You are very welcome. I've even got more in the works if they become necessary.
  • @DrakeGladis May I ask the intentions of your nation? While the Knights do plan to prepare for war, Flair isn't entirely unreasonable and thus diplomacy is not exactly...out of reach.
  • War is war. My thoughts are straightforward enough that even the lowest of the soldiers under your command should understand it: Carpe Faucium. As for diplomacy... While I won't hesitate to say that we did enter your territory by zombie, that would have been the best chance for a peaceful resolution. A message would have sufficed. Now we have destroyed and remade a soldier or yours in our own image, and we are only getting started. As a red faction, I hope you can appreciate our unwavering persistence and directness.
Also, you are probably the best resource for us to harvest territory wise. We need two more islands at least, and to the east is our allies The Lost. We don't wish to come into conflict with them, especially as they too have felt abandonment by their societies. As such, this is the only reasonable thing for us to do. We have commited to the Big One. Be honored that your sacrifice will allow it.
  • (btw, I wrote this after not enough sleep and running low on food. I might edit it tommorow, if only for grammar and stuff, or I might retcon it, but that is my Pederan side speaking, so idk
  • I’m open for an alliance, the realm of the king wishes for the betterment of all people. Together, we rise. Sperated, we fall!
  • Already we are getting to war? wow

My card, lore coming in a second.
  • "The knights will fall either way; your kingdom would only mark itself for our next target-if we need one."
  • Fight us, if you wish. It shall be entertaining watching you meekly crumble.
  • Meek? Don't underestimate the Banned. We have no failures among us; can you say the same? As for your walls, they shall be what crumbles if we need them to. If not, then we shall let them stand- your kingdom matters not to us.
  • edited February 2020
@DrakeGladis, @ThatOneCat, slow your combatant rolls, you have multiple territories and lands separating the two of y'all. I suggest dealing with your surroundings first...
  • Let us stand then! If peace can rule, then it should. Stop the killing of innocent people, create a new kingdom for people of all shapes and sizes. Together, we shall reign!
  • @spookoops
I'm just engaging in a bit of trash talk. We don't even have an instant messaging system. Nothing is really happening... As far as I am aware, this was a joke on both sides.

Tynarus leaned up against the great doors that led into the council’s meeting room. Inside he could hear three voices yelling. Tynarus turned to his fellow guard Brigid,

    “They are arguing again”,

“That always happens when Syr Tibalt isn’t present, the other three can’t get along without him”,

Brigid sounded tired. Tynarus understood why they had been on duty for almost 24 hours without a changing, there had been an issue with one of the aether tanks and almost all of the city guards had to deal with it.

“Why is he late?” Tynarus looked worriedly down the hall hoping to see the great inventor.

“Dealing with the spill no doubt, now quiet I’m trying to sleep with my eyes open”,

Tynarus sighed, he was hoping a crusade would have been more exciting but so far he had just sat around on guard duty...he was pulled out of his thoughts by the sound of footsteps, many of them headed their way. He reached over and shook Brigid awake,

    “Get up he’s coming!”

Syr Tibalt turned the corner two guards flanked him. Tibalt paused in front of the Brigid and Tynarus they stood at attention and saluted.

“Thank you for staying so long. Your replacements are here so why don’t you go get some sleep.”

They nodded and started walking to the barracks just when he was out of view Tynarus let out a yawn - he really needed a nap

(Sorry for not getting to this faster it’s been a really busy week and the Endorsans have been having some issues with their aether supplies, I’ll be able to get my entry in later today)

At the highest peak of Sandir Syr Tybalt’s Council meets.

Syr Tybalt swung the doors open to the council chamber. The room was a hexagonal shaped chamber opposite to the door three windows illuminated the room and glowing aether powered lights. At the center of the room the three other members of his council surrounded the table. They had looked up at the lord as he entered he could tell they had been fighting,

"I'm sorry for the delay! The problem has been dealt with." Tybalt walked over to the table and took his seat, the others followed his lead.

"Now, Gars your report said that the other nations were headed to war, what else do we know about this?", Tybalt looked over at the general.

"Our scouts have not been able to find much, the militarization has impeded our expansion efforts and blocked their paths." Gars typed a command into the keyboard in front of him and a holographic map of Mystik appeared on the screen, several locations on the South Western islands were lit up with blinking red lights. Tybalt examined the map,

"What about the nations our neighbors to the West?" Tybalt pointed towards the part of the mapped colonized by The Zealots of Ekisha and Ryeaous’ Nobles.

"They have started building their defenses, an incursion would mostly likely end in a major loss of resources and life"

"Well then, any ideas about what to do?"

"Not me but Meadra had a plan."

Tybalt turned to the communication's officer she sat up in her chair and typed a command into the computer a few images were pulled up. Tybalt didn't recognize the exact islands they were from but he recognized they were from Mystik.

"The songbirds managed to capture a few of these, they are from the Islands currently inhabited by Ryeaous’ Nobles and The Eldrakken Empire."

"I fail to see how this is relevant!" Syr Edgar had been silent until now "A few pictures are not going to help the effort! I'm tel-"

Meadra interrupted the mage "The pictures show life forms and terrain we have not yet had a chance to study! There could be hidden knowledge in those islands and we would only need a small portion to set up one or two research labs to find this knowledge!"

"How do you propose we get research stations on that land?" Tybalt was intrigued by the proposal. "They won't just let us land on them,"

"Yes but we could attempt to make a deal with them, if they are willing to give us land we could provide troops to aid in the war effort." Tybalt nodded, he turned his chair around to face the windows,

"Do you think they will agree to this?"

    "It is possible"

He turned back and faced Edgar, "You don't like this plan?"

"Not at all" The words slid of the mages tongue with disgust "We shouldn't have to settle for a bit of land when we could have it all!" Edgar pulled a schematic up, it was a robot it's purpose unclear "I have designed a new construct that could sneak behind enemy lines and sabotage their efforts weakening them enough so that we could come in and take over." He turned to Meadra “It is better the than subjecting ourselves to a war we do not care about!” Meadra retorted.

    (this is a lore card)

“I’ve seen your plans Edgar, the robots will destroy the eco systems of their targets, there will be nothing left to learn from this plane if we follow your lead!”
“On the contrary” Edgar sounded smug “We will have our enemies technology to study!”
“You’re insane” Meadra turned to Gars “You agree don’t you! He’s crazy!” Gars had been silently watching until now

“Diplomacy will cause less losses of recourses. Your plan is going to be harder than you think Edgar.” Syr Edgar slammed his fist against the table.
“Don’t question my plans” He stood up throwing the chair back “I have spent more time formulating this plan than you have fought. I am a genius, I know what I am talking about!”

“That’s enough!” Tybalt turned to Edgar “Sit down! You are acting like a child!” he took a deep breath he was tired of this, tired of the arguing “As fun as it would be to watch you all argue for the next hour I will have to interrupt!” He put his hands together “We will follow Meadra’s plan, I want you to send our best diplomats to the two nations” He stood up “Now, I’m going to go to bed I will meet with you all in the morning!” Tybalt left the council chamber he didn’t look back but he knew that Edgar was giving him a death stare.

(This is my entry, sorry about no artist credit searched for awhile and couldn't find one)

(@Stryk3r @ThatOneCat The Endorsan Sovereingty is willing to provide troops to aid in the conflict, if you allow them to construct a research station in a piece of land next to the coast)
    _____________________________________________________________________________________

Edgar had been brooding in his lab for hours, how dare Tybalt humiliate him, ignore his plan, and then have the audacity to call him a child! He would pay for this...

"Are you still mad?" A figure stepped out from the shadows, she was slight and nimble she jumped from the rafters down into the his workshop,

    image
    (This is a lore card)

"I told you not to do that!" Edgar turned to her, he had removed his mask an old scar ran down the side of his face covering one eye. Rima backed up, she was surprised he never took the mask off. She steeped back in surprise but calmed down,

    "You didn't answer the question."

"I'm not mad, I'm furious!" Edgar stood he threw the papers of one of his workstations. Rima grabbed his shoulder, he stood still.

"We all know that you are a genius" She started to move him over to a chair "You need to stay calm, if you let them get to you them you then we shall fail." They sat down and Edgar took a deep breath.

"You are right" he locked eyes with her "Together we can win this crusade, but not now, for now we wait"

  • Thank you. I'll get on it.
  • I've got a bunch on my plate.
  • For Season 6, (if there is a season 6), we want to prepare as much as possible. So here is a little survey about COLONISERS, which we would really appreciate if you could complete.

This is mostly meant for veterans of the game, but newer players or even spectators who are up to date on the series are also very welcome. :)

Ezorael, Kendel, and two other elves sit around a wooden table. Their dragons sit just behind.
"Alright," Ezorael starts. "I believe you all know why we're here today."
The seven others in the room nod their heads.
"Alright. Kendel, how're the frontlines going?"
"After the storm, not many of our warriors are dying. Many are grounded, for sure, but they can recover. We're slowly picking the Acreans off. Those pesky walls they can summon whenever are slowing us down, though."
Unfortunately, we're out of the fight. Runib, Kendel's dragon, huffs, running a claw over a bandaged patch of flesh where a land spike hit.
"Don't worry, it'll heal," Ezorael reassures. "Aiwin, how's Elhark doing?"
Aiwin, the courier who was sent in Elhark's place, replies, "Would you like it in my words or his?"
"Will his words include a lot of 'Your Majesty', 'My Lord', 'Sire', and 'Sir'?"
"That's not even half of it."
    "I'll take your version, then."
"It's going well. We're expanding quickly. The only casualty is the twisted ankle of a hasty scout who didn't look before they leapt."
"Wait," whispers Chalia, the master druid. Uttering a quick chant, she creates a map on the table's surface.
"How many troops does he have?"
Two platoons of elite fighters and a small army of warriors, Atephol, the firedrake sent with Aiwin, offers.
    "Firedrakes?"
    Including me, four couriers.
"Very well. I'll give Elhark half of Myrdin's and Taeral's forces on the other islands," Ezorael says. "Tell Elhark to keep up the expansion, but minimize the possible border with the Acreans. The Exiled seem like a mostly peaceful sort, and the Banned are busy with their own war for now. He shouldn't worry about them too much."
    image
    (Entry)

Send a platoon of firedrakes and firedrake riders, Nekrekkar calls. And send an attack with them. Long enough to have an impact, but short enough to minimize our losses.
    Everyone shows their approval.
    "Good idea. Any other suggestions?"
    image

    Aiwin raises his hand.
"You don't have to ask for permission, Aiwin. I may be part of the council, but we are equals."
Aiwin speaks. "I think we may want to negotiate something with the Soulless."
"Have you seen what they've done?" Chalia protests. "What they've done to their land? They've charred it over, burnt their forests down to ashes, and left nothing but barren earth and ash that will not grow anything for eternity. What makes you think they care at all?"
"I know, I know, I'm just saying that it'd accelerate our progress had we had a faster way to get soldiers too and fro, as going around back, even on firedrakes, takes a while. The sooner we beat the Acreans, the sooner we can turn our heads toward other matters."
"Well," Ezorael steps in, "I believe we should vote on it. All in favour that we get permission for Soulless aerospace?"
Three hands shoot up. Three of four dragons also show their approval.
"Very well. A courier will be sent to try negotiating with the Soulless."
The door bursts open, and a courier steps in. In his hand is a strange piece of technology.
"Sorry to interrupt, but the Sovereignty wishes to create a research station on our coasts in exchange for troops to help our cause. It's all detailed here," he says, holding up the Sovereign tech.
    Ezorael reads the message.
"Well, I think we should agree with caution. What do you think."
Four hands go up. Four dragons nod.
"Very well. Report back to them. We approve. However, send some dragons and elves to keep an eye on them once you find the location. Make sure they stay out of sight. Thank you all for coming."
    The group splits up.

[ @SammySammyson are our dragons allowed in your aerospace?]
  • @Stryk3r The Endorsan Sovereignty thanks you for your acceptance of our offer! We will begin construction of the research station immediately. We will provide your war effort with our newest battle droids and some of our top-notch pilots and starships to aid your dragons in the sky. If you have any concerns contact me immediately.
