  • okay, it's been fun!

wonder how it will turn out

tho I'm confused bout the holy mandate bit haha, what happened?
  • The fires of justice shall burn — however, war shall not.

We are peaceful people, and shall come to your help in times of need — for a price.
  • Retrieve land from the ocean...  Just a thought! ;)
  • @Xero0

The Object sapped away your power, and you lost the will to continue fighting.
  • Also, You guys, I will not help anyone or hurt anyone in your war, you can even pass through my lands, just please, I implore of you — leave my citizens alone. They’ve done nothing to deserve total wa

  • The Lost don't wish to enter hostilities with anyone so we begin to build up rather than out.
  • Daedalus_The_All_Father that land would be insane unless it transformed from something.
  • @Daedalus_The_All_Father it also gives infinite mana. Or with any artifact or land that produces two mana at once it exiles all your opponents creatures.
  • @Daedalus_The_All_Father Exiles infinitely with Selesnya Sanctuary.
  • Too busted.  Sorry @Daedalus_The_All_Father, but I agree with them on that.  And I should know...
  • Okay, I'll make something that doesn't go infinite with pretty much everything. That will instead be a lore card since it doesn't really matter if lore cards are broken or not.
  • unless they go in a precon
but I won’t put that one in.
  • How many challenges are there left before this ends?
  • "Ezorael."
    Kendel approaches the rider.
    "Kendel?"
"We have a new development. Something has happened with the Sovereignty."
"Is this about the dead council, by any chance?"
"Yes it is. Remember the dragons you stationed there?"
    "They found something?" Ezorael inquires.
"Gunshots. At the Eldrakken research centre..." Kendel states.

    (Lore)

"Which was where Tybalt and Gars were assassinated," Ezorael finishes. "Edgar was also seen entering, correct?"
"And still standing. No reports of an assassin, either. And our researchers stationed there reported no sign of any faetherlings, as they call them."
"And we both know how sturdy an Endorsan ship is, undoubtedly multiplied if for someone in a high position. I smell treachery."
"Exactly. My only question is, what would the motive be?"
"I don't know. My only hope is there is one, and Edgar isn't a repeat of Rider Dakath."
    image
    (Lore)

"That would be disastrous," Kendel agrees. "Do you believe that they may come for us?"
"I know that they've locked swords with the Zealots, but I'm not sure. Keep an extra eye on the battler storages and the new arrivals, and make sure that the dragons know the ins and outs of a starship. We want to be able to destroy them if necessary."
    image
    (Politics)

"Now, Ezorael, We have another issue."
    "Which is?"
"There's no more free land. If we wish to grow, we will have to fight."
"Our soldiers won't wish for another war, especially if we started it. If we must clash, then clash we shall. It wouldn't be good for anyone of the war is started by us, but we must defend our land if necessary."

    "Any more concerns, Kendel?"
    "No. That will be all."
  • The Lost also dig down, looking for resources in the ground.
    *Lore*
    Ancient Treasury
With the Divination Apparatus, we found an ancient treasury filled with all sorts of things we could potentially use.
    *Lore*
    Divine Smeltery
We also found an underground magma system hooked up to what appears to be a smeltery and a forge. We found that it can bring out a great amount of the potential of all ores or whatever else is put into the smeltery.
    *Entry*
    Prin Astray Ergokinetic
As everything we found can be closely linked to Tenro, Saint of Terra, he decided to call upon his most faithful assistant. Prin has the great power of manipulating energy and she puts it to great use in our search for, and use of, resources. The Divine Smeltery can be used to bring out the potential of the treasury's contents but we can draw out even more by having Prin draw upon and manipulate the energy to make it the most efficient and most profitable it can be.
  • I have the cards, just working on a write-up.
  • @Stryk3r the assassination didn’t happen at the research station. It happened in Sandir on an island across the sea
  • A courier reported hearing gunshots while flying by, then (I can't edit the forum post :| )

  • Rayeous gazed into the Ocean, at the warring lands in the distance, at the death of peace and prosperity. He needed more land to win a strategic victory, but there was not a single island on the archipelago he could claim. If he could connect his lands somehow, and expand even further, his nation could prosper. He called a meeting of his consuls, a meeting which Valis, the army’s leader partook in.

Rayeous began, "My friends and worthy consuls, I come to you with a proclamation.”
A fury ignited in Valis’s eyes, “Are we going to war?"
“Not quite,” Rayeous continued, “But we are acquiring lands. We’re making them.”
There were murmurs among the consuls. They were confused.
”We’re gonna freeze the Ocean!” Rayeous exclaimed. Consuls would forever after this day speak of Rayeous as wise, if a little hardheaded. But magic across the land was now being used to freeze the ocean.

Starr Ekisha sends his final offering to the Endorsan army, with hopes that this could lead to a non-conflict resolution. But, it comes with a warning...

It is we who decide whether words are to be carriers of hate or vehicles of compassion; whether they are to become spears or peace offerings; whether they will move us to despair or hope.

It is not enough to say we will not wage war. It is necessary to love peace and sacrifice for it. I prefer peace. But if trouble must come, let it come in my time, so that my children can live in peace.

I am not a pacifist but a militant pacifist. I am willing to fight for peace. But, do not underestimate my kindness... I do not attack the body, as in a traditional war. I attack the mind and soul of a being, tearing them to bits from the inside. Nothing will end war unless the people themselves refuse to go to war.

  • (Alright I've got a few things to cover here so bear with me please)

    ______________________________________________________________________________________
On the shores of First Landing (The island the Soveriegnty first arrvied on)
    ______________________________________________________________________________________

It was a cold day, a freezing wind had come down from the mountains and the ocean had begun to turn to ice. The city of Sandir had begun to fly over the ocean. In the distance a figure appeared on the horizon, a metal raft floated across the waves, it bobbed up and down through the ocean. In a few moments it crashed into the shore, its metal frame fell apart and a figure tumbled out. Meadra stood up she was covered in scrapes and burns her armor had been torn apart in the blast and where her leg used to be was a metal replacement of scrap and rebar. She looked up at Sandir flying above to sea “I’ll see you soon Edgar”. Then she turned to the cliff face in front of her. An abandoned research station rested against the cliff face, it was research station A-25e. The station had been shut down by the jellyfish sprites all those months ago. “But first it’s time to get some repairs”.

At the new Eldrakken Research Station
    ______________________________________________________________________________________

Syr Atela stood on a balcony overlooking the new campus. Since the Acreans fled Mystik the Sovereignty had taken a large island in the Western seas and begun building a new Research station this one was twice as big as the old one and much more defended. Atela had recently received orders to start construction on more battle constructs to send home. In the courtyard before her The Legionares were loading up ships with more droids to send to the war at home. A message pinged on her Cellpod, she was late for a meeting with the Director of Battle Droid Development. She turned and left the balcony just as the ships took of.

Sandir the Sovereign City - Backwater District
    ______________________________________________________________________________________

Tynarus looked up at the sky. The night sky was illuminated by thousands of stars a bright full moon sat among them. He sighed the entire city had been chaos when the Tybalt and Gars’ death had been announced. It was a shock to everyone Tybalt had been loved by all and Gars was the most awarded general of his generation. There had been a riot by a group contesting Edgar’s rule, Tynarus was one of the guards that helped quell it. Although the council back on Yxe gave Edgar command of the crusade people still continued to riot in the lower districts. Splat! Something hit one of the guards on his patrol. “Traitors!” Someone yelled from the back alley next to them. Tynarus stepped forward,

“In the name of the council halt!” He yelled toward the fleeing figure. They didn’t stop instead another rotten fruit careened into Tynarus’ helmet. “You’ve been warned!” Tynarus nodded to the two other guards and they gave chase. The rioter led them down another alley the patrol fired but he managed to evade them. The figure finally reached a warehouse and ducked inside Tynarus could hear something pushed up against it and the door lock. He took a step back from the door and kicked at it, the frame bent with the force of his armor the door flung of it’s hinges. The patrol charges in crashing through the table that had been used as a barricade. Across the empty room the criminal was trying to climb out a small window but he couldn’t reach it, Tynarus switched his gun to stun mode and fired.

Sandir the Sovereign City - Edgar’s Lab
    ______________________________________________________________________________________

Syr Edgar was working on his generator when Rima walked in. “Have you heard the news yet?”

    “No”

“The Zealots of Eshika have sent us a message” Rima passed him the message. Edgar read it then his hands clenched into a fist.

“This will require a response, but first maybe we should show these Zealots what they are dealing with! Send in the Inquisitors, aim to kill as many as possible to prove a point.”

    (Lore Card)

Edgar threw the message to the floor, “Has the city been calmed?”

    “Almost”

“What of the Eldrakken messenger that was asking to many questions?”

“As you said we are trying to keep peace with the Eldrakken, they had proved powerful allies and their help may become important”

     “Good”

    @spookoops
    The message that is returned:

“We are not dogs that will just roll over and submit to your “higher cause”. Let’s see if you truly believe in peace or if you are just saying whatever will make you feel holier-than-thou! We will end hostilities on the one condition that you secede half your land to us, if you do not do this than we will be forced to take that land for ourselves and your so called “Zealots” will be crushed under foot! So what will it be, will you practice what you preach and take the peaceful way out? Never forget I gave you a chance!”

    @Stryk3r

In an attempt to lower border tensions the sovereignty proposes to throw a festival in celebration of victory over the Acreans. Do you accept?
  • HeroKP Sorry aaaaa

I thought I submitted already. Life's been a bit crazy with everything shutting down. Posting within an hour or two.
  • As probably expected, Flair found a way to set the problem on fire yet again. Without unclaimed land available, it is time to begin burning land settled by other factions, and to render it uninhabitable to most. Flair's possession of Mystik's powerful artifact has gone straight to his head...er, helmet. He had already thought that the claiming of Mystik was his birthright, but that has truly been solidified in his thinking at this stage.

    image

Flair's ego has given birth to his official declaration of a powerful empire out of the ashes of the others—and one that will continue to prosper from them.

    image

In his pursuit of expansion and of control, he of course needs to ensure no inhabitants remain after blazing Mystik's breathtaking land. Continued exploration even after thousand-degree fires have burned for days and ultimately subsided is necessary to ensure the success of the newly named Ignesium (how creative, Flair...at least he didn't name it after himself...surprisingly).

  • THE DEED HAS BEEN DONE

@IzItTru, what you have failed to understand is that everything leading up to to where we are now, was me giving you the chance. We have taken no land from anyone, but readily settled unclaimed territories. It is you who has encroached into our lands, taking what you see fit.

All my offers of peace have come with words of warning. We are not afraid of conflict now, so that we may have peace for our later generations.

You have now forced our hands into a situation you will come to regret. We don't battle with multitudes of troops on our grounds. We battle with troops within your grounds, burying you from the inside out.
