Thank you guys. Sorry, I'm in the middle of an author block right now, and with all of this sh!t going on I feel like I am not doing a good job with my cards... Not these ones in particular, but with the newest ones (that I already deleted since they were THAT bad).
If I have the time, I'll try to post a story of my own tomorrow, or before the start of the competition, nevertheless.
LordTachanka123: Mm. Ok. I just sent another one, on quotes.
Scaccogaming: Oh, don't worry. I have infuriating author blocks, and when they annoy me SO much, I literally quit on the piece. but you shouldn't quit. NEVER GIVE UP!
@Scaccogaming Your cards, just because they are a plain theme, doesn't mean they are bad. There are themes in this thread from entirely wacky to just a prince that wants to be king. This goes for everyone, I cannot emphasize enough, that the greatness in story telling comes from the story, not the originality all the time. If you can tell a good story, that's all that matters.
Which would you rather read, a story about a knight saving a princess with amazing story telling or an out of the world theme with no coherent plot and bad story telling?
First of all, I fully agree with pjbear. Some of the best video games(Think of valorant, it's not the best, but still good.) are A LOT like other games. And second of all, DrakeGladis, I would love you to write some... I joined this mostly because the two themes are some of my favorite things.
Jazmyn walked through the streets at a brisk pace, until she came to where she was looking for. A tavern. She stepped in. "Welcome to the Blind Eye m'lady.I can find you a table if you'd like."Asked the bartender. "Sure" Jazmyn took a seat at a table in the middle of the bar, catching a few glances. She listened. Listened for gossip, specifically. "I hear that one of dem competatas has neva even left his home before!" "Some strange, djinn is here apparently." "Ya see that wolf?No way he's a noble!" "Apparently we have a shapeshifter in our midst!" "Ya see the little fox?Don't know why he even came, the little fool couldn't beat my gra-" And just like that the man's arm was shattered, Jazmyn's boot on his chest. "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"The man screamed in pain. "Wutta I do?!?" "You disrespected my king, and for it, you will die." "Now wait just a minute you w-" One more hit the ground.
The fox jumped into the air, landed on the man's head, and whacked him with his sheathed sword. "Ha! See how tall and mighty and strong I am now!" He ripped out a chunk of his hair, jumped off, and ran towards a wall. "Get that thing!" The thug shouted angrily. The group surged upon him, weapons drawn. Janti assessed the situation. Two swords, four clubs, a mace and a guy carrying five daggers. He thought to himself. This'll be easy. He grabbed a loose brick on the wall and threw himself into the air. He brought down his sword on a thug's nose with a sickening crack, and spun around and slugged his sword into another man's nether regions. Five daggers is out cold, and the mace isn't going to stand up in awhile. Janti thought with a mischievous grin. The two of the four clubs rushed him, and Janti slid through one of their legs. The turned sharply, slipped on the dirt, and tripped over each other. Amos watched the ferocious fuzzball of fury knock the other two clubs unconscious. "He's probably got it." Finally, Janti, the menacing little animal himself, approached the thug leader with dramatic slowness. He got bored, and ran up to him, about to give him a nice, red line across his face when... "Halt!" Twenty silver-armored guards approached Janti. "By order of Tenguin Silvertounge, he demands you to stop, since he cannot arrest you. The fighting stops now."
Janti was bored already, so he obliged, leaving the scene of nine brutally beaten-up thugs, and retreating back through the market to the main palace where they would sleep. Amos followed, determined to speak with him.
Your right.I agree with everything. And you wrote Janti out PERFECTLY. I didn't even know how he would assess the situation, and then you wrote it, and I was like: Wow.This is the real Janti.
Janti walked off the scene without a further thought, and while he was at it snuck a sleeping potion in the guards lunch. Serves the bastard right, the little- Janti then noticed someone was watching him. It was a man, but something about him seemed off. Something, Supernatural.
he ran off. Janti, with Amos close behind, rushed back to the palace. Janti pushed through the doors with effort, but eventually scampered through, and Amos followed. They were suddenly put to a halt when they entered. A man was waiting for them. "I see that Janti, King of the Azuma Alliance, is causing problems in my kingdom."

"Who are you?" Janti said. "Also, they started it. They provoked my by calling me small, and weak, which I am not. You see-" "Your smooth, fast-talking won't get you out of this one, fox. I have prescribed you a warning and a monetary fee, which will be translated to the correct sum of money you owe in your currency type. Also, I have someone who you may know..." At this moment, two of the silver armored guards dragged in a woman.
"Amos of Zhong Xian, good evening, enjoy your stay. you are dismissed." Amos walked off reluctantly. Janti choked. "Jazmyn!" He turned towards the man. "Release her! I order you!" "You do not order me, fox. She was accused of shattering a mans arm over... loyalty." He said this as if he hated the word. "I quite well address your fighting skills and your cunning, but this is not your domain. Pay. Now."
The-DM Absolutely no problems with the writing, I'm about to hop in myself. Just don't want any problems in your runnings for king if you started too much trouble

This is my favorite flavor text I've ever done.
