Mechanics of Legend

Hey everyone,
Here is my FIRST challenge.
I want you to create a Legendary card (can be any type, not just a creature). But, I want you to create and include in that card your very own mechanic. Here's an example:

I want all cards to be turned in by May 10th.

Rules -

MUST be Legendary
MUST have a new mechanic never seen before
Has to be balenced
Can be any rarity or mana color.
I need at least 4 cards on here for there to be the rewards below:

1rst Place: Follow and 3 faves
2nd Place: 2 Faves
3rd Place: 1 Fave

That's it! This is just a for fun challenge, so no real competition.

This is my (first?) submission for your contest. I guess now is the best time to try my hand at mechanic invention. Might come back later and replace it but I'm not sure. I'll happily take any balancing suggestions. Also, I've tried coding the link to be a part of the image and to make the image smaller, but the older code I tried isn't working.

I don't know if this counts as "new." I made this mechanic a couple of days ago for another contest. The card itself is new though.

@MiloMindbender They're using purely gold frames (which are only used for cards with three or more colors in their mana cost). Since they're two-color, they should be using the "[Color]/[Other Color]/Gold" frames, which can be found in the "Use alternate frames" dropdown.

I love your Quick Study mechanic @MiloMindbender! Velocity counters feel a little dull, so I suggest something to do with haste, first strike, or double strike.
I also have always been a fan of your dusk mechanic since I first saw it on that gargoyle.

@LordTachanka123 ; I'm glad you enjoy those cards! I had a lot of fun making them. I've also considered a dawn mechanic where things happen if any player has no tapped lands, but then we'd get into weird areas where it could be both dawn and dusk at the same time!

@Abu_Jafar Just to point this out, one of the entry conditions is that the card's a legendary creature. Since that isn't, it probably isn't a viable entry.
