Sure, we could have a black card do that. @LordTachanka123 I suppose I'm nitpicking right now.
But, I see it as white boosts toughness. Red boosts power. Green grants power and toughness. Black can give both, but at a cost sometimes. Blue boosts toughness maybe, sometimes. That's just how I see it as a general idea when making cards.
@The-DM @LordTachanka123 @Leaf_Juggernaut Religion itself is quite an abstract concept, and most belief systems from human prehistory seem to be concerning animals and the like rather than concepts. For this reason, I believe this was The-DM's idea, I think it would be very interesting for there to be a cycle of very powerful animals rather than gods. As I was trying to figure out what creature types could represent these avatars, I realized that I had not yet made a table of creature types for the set. Here is a current rough draft: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1PCa-MLgFSwooJX8ASi9JK6G_g12gE5hC4UnySnDv4Fs/edit?usp=sharing
I agree. But Wolves are very pack oriented, and Quetzas were more black than white. Green would also make sense, but then we need a new black, because we cant make Mammoth black.

(Hey, that might actually work.)

Eldritch KrakenSquirrel?
I'm sure we can find some interesting prehistoric animals to represent each color.
