  • I don't mind at all! Anything I've made that can inspire someone else is alright with me!

    For your consideration...

    These are from some sets I worked on, and if you can draw inspiration from them or use them as they are then you're welcome to add them to your set

    @LordTachanka123
    About your Reality Alteration card.
    I liked the card. I will still analyze it better. The ability to alter doesn't fit very well with pauper. I don't remember any deck that interacts with that.
    The set needs a heavy counter, but I believe I did a lot of counters in the collection.

    @Corwinnn
    Very cool and fun ideas.
    Redact
    I did some similar, but focused on Echoing Truth
    As it was one of the first cards I wrote, it needs grammatical revision.

    Three mana, no matter you draw a card, limits your use in Pauper, but you play well in the limited and draft (maybe a control Pauper?). We recently had a similar addition. Gust of Wind

    Congregate
    Congregate is already legal. I did not understand. Lmao :)

    Focus Fire
    This card I really liked and I see a lot of potential. I'm going to study it.
    I was scared in an Elf deck that generates a lot of mana and manages to put a lot of creatures early. Birchlore Rangers+Priest of Titania or Nettle Sentinel
    We have some similar to the uncommom (not legal on Pauper) Lightning Volley

    Yeah, it was late and I was looking for something "angel". I didn't make that one so it didn't dawn on me that we used functional reprints! (and even the art is the same!)

  • Here's one more to consider

    The intention is not to have card art that already exists in Magic. Unfortunately I am not aware of all of them and I change them when I find them. Feel free to help. :)

  • @CassZero, A lot of these should be at Mythic Rare. Very pushed commons.
  • @joemamajoe Comments on the cards. Remember that it is a master set valid only for pauper, legacy and vintage. Thank you.
  • @joemamajoe In case you don't know, the Pauper format is a format in which you can only play cards that have been printed at common at least once. It's a wonderful format for players who want an eternal-format-ish experience without having to sink in vast amount of money, or just for those who want a meta where a lot of people try far more experimentation etc.

    While many of these are quite probably far too powerful, not something you'd want introduced to Pauper, and / or various other issues, the creator's goal is to make a masters set for Pauper, and they've chosen to do this by means of just having a set with nothing but commons. In other words, yes, they're pushed, and yes, many of them arguably deserve higher rarities, but there is a reason behind it all.
  • @CassZero, @MemoryHead, I know what pauper is, and i'm saying that lots of these should be replaced with other cards that work at common, not are pushed cards that shouldn't be at common.
  • Feedback is always welcome. No problem. Open to debate.  :)
  • They might have to be at higher rarities, but common decks aren't always fun to play. When designing a card for this I had a tough time keeping it at a proper balance, but it ended up a little too complex. Overall, if the set is for pauper, I think that some of these cards can be pushed. Though I do see some of your problems.

  • The cards in the hybrid and gold design in the beginning I did for beauty only. In the future it will be adjusted with the appropriate design colors.

    I'll be real; I don't like how this set is going.

    Things like 3 mana 3/2's that have flying, additional upsides and give lord effects should not be in pauper, same for 4 mana 2/4's with flying and vigilance with such lines as "Angel creatures lose deathtouch and lifelink and can't have or gain deathtouch and lifelink." The greatness of pauper is the simplicity. Another example is Funny Mental Devourer; this should never, ever be in pauper.

    The reasons these go against pauper is because most pauper cards are supposed to feel common; and this set is printing cards with rare and mythic level compexity and just slapping a common symbol on them.

    The other reason is that there is absolutely NO show of balance within this project; Hira, Spirit Shaper is a problematic companion card for Pauper Tron, and is likewise busted in Mardu Monarch. Strangleroot Geist would be a tad too strong for Pauper Mono-Green Stompy. And things like Dispute Between Two Worlds are so incredibly useless, even outside of draft chaff.

    In short, balance the set more and make the cards feel common, and not broken. I apologize if I come off as offensive.

    @Potato13
    Thanks for the comments, but I hope you have contact with the format and understand the initial idea of the set, breaking the paradigm.
    The set is not going anywhere. The set is already closed.

    I know and understand how the format works and I understand the strangeness of some, but watch out for comments. If possible, put on the cards the problem and impact it has for the proposal that it was created. In the comments of the card, please.

    I'll be real; I don't like how this set is going. Really? Did you need to make that comment?

    Some considerations:

    We have Sliver as lords, why not other tribes? I put it as General by my choice. As mentioned, it has the same idea as the legendary. Its aspects are weak with minimal impact, but there may be a deck that takes advantage of this.

    Why not lords at pauper in the future?

    For example, the tribes above are almost nonexistent and weak in current cards.

    This one seems weak to me, doesn't it? And a cuteness ^^

    The mentioned angel

    What is its impact? I say impact because it really has many abilities, but it affects a specific tribe. Not all cards are perfect, but in the current contest I have no problem leaving it played as pauper.

    Why can't Pauper be a little more complex?

    Cool that you have seen use on other decks. My idea was a reanimator, since it can only be used once. (old rule of companions for pauper for physical test I do)

    Strangleroot Geist I agree as possible problematic, but why not test it?

    I saw your first comment and I imagine you saw that it is weak. Now, which existing physical set does not have bad cards? And why can't I make bad cards for my 250 card set?  ^^

    Yes, you seemed a little offensive, but all in peace and love. ^^
