Honorable Mentions
Bridge Troll by @Odysseus
The flavor here is great. I love the implicit drowsiness of the troll and the idea of him waking up to people crossing the bridge (or poking him with sticks). My key issue was with balance, as an 8 power anything that untaps any time a creature enters the battlefield OR attacks is quite powerful. Also, his effect causes him to untap whenever he attacks as well.
Crumbling Ashcore by @RogreeMaster325
This card made me smile. The concept is almost comical, the treefolk burning to cinders as it crashes into your opponents. This is quite well executed. Notably, the mechanic is the reverse of the old clockwork creatures. The mana cost is quite prohibitive - my endorsement would be {3}{r/g}{r/g}{r/g} or something similar. Also, maybe drop trample at uncommon 'cause that thing is a powerhouse already.
Battle-Forged Snail by @SirWarriorLegend
Hearkening to one of the least-used red spaces (in my opinion), high toughness, 0-power pumping creatures. Wall of fire came to mind, but the pumping ability hurting you was a nice touch. The creature was well-costed and would certainly make for an interesting card to play with.

3rd Place: Impenetrable Lumberer by @MrRansom
Green isn't the only color with fatties! This card just feels heavy - super-high toughness, not untapping after attacks, and once he's done he drops off his weaponry for another soldier to take up. Aside from a small wording issue (I think the first clause should be "whenever" instead of "when") this card looks very clean. Sometimes simple is the way to go.
2nd Place: Landbearer Turtle by @barry13
This is one of my favorite concepts to come out of this challenge! You get the full turtle flavor here (retrospect: odd word choice from me), hiding in its shell until the time comes for it to rise up out of the water as a monster. To be sure, the rules wording is certainly tricky and there are a few ways to approach this. I explored a few of them on my own (think Dryad Arbor and the Theros god cards) but I think ultimately the solution would be up to R&D. In any case, the concept and execution were a delightful blend.
1st Place: Ishimori, Jukai Guardian by @cadstar369
The Kamigawa block, while somewhat infamous for being sub-par, gave us several card-smithing gems to work with. One of my personal favorites is the legendary uncommon creature. This card creatively offers a creature that is appropriately costed for its ability and board presence. The simplicity of the card belies the complex land shenanigans that it allows, not to mention various other synergies. I am a fan of everything about this card... except for possibly the hybrid mana symbol (sorry @Corwinnn). However, even that has grown on me. I think it fits this creature. All in all, this card is pretty dang sweet.
Congratulations to the winners - hope to see your submissions in the next Reactivation Challenge!
TROPHY forthcoming.
