Custom-Start: An experimental challenge
Hello everyone,
This short challenge is going to be a little experiment, hopefully it works! The idea is to have a design contest based on the concept of the freshly-released Jump-Start set. I present to you... Custom-Start! XD
Just like with Jump-Start, to participate in this challenge you must open packs that will tell you what you must design:
1) Post a message in the comments to let me know that you want to participate in the contest.
2) I will reply with two sets of three packs.
4) I will reply with the front side of the two cards you have chosen. You will have to design four cards based on the restrictions of your design and flavour packs.
5) At the end of the contest, I will give you personalised feedback on your entry and I will make a ranking based on how many people entered the contest.
___
I hope it's clear enough, don't hesitate to ask me questions and re-read the rules until you are sure of how this works.
This is at the very high end of complexity as far as contests go and it will also involve a bit of latency between the answers as I'm in France (+6-8h compared to U.S.A.) so this will only last for a week. It's mostly an experiment to see if this works.
Here are the summary of the rules:
Hopefully this works! x) Fair warning, this is probably going to be difficult, let's see who can step up to the challenge =D

1) Post a message in the comments to let me know that you want to participate in the contest.
2) I will reply with two sets of three packs.
- The first three packs are the DESIGN packs and only display a title and rarity. They contain a general design restriction for your entry (for instance, all your cards must fit a certain type of decks, or you can only design a certain type of cards). They also have three mandatory elements you must add to your entry (you are free to distribute them among your cards as you wish, a single card could theoretically satisfy all three requirements).
- The last three packs are the FLAVOR packs and only display an illustration with a number and rarity. They contain a flavour restriction for your entry (for instance, a plane or a tribe). They also contain the colours you are allowed to use in this challenge (you don't have to use all colours unless specified otherwise, but you can't use colours outside the ones mentioned in your flavor pack).
- For each of the three packs (design and flavour) you are presented with two common packs and one higher rarity pack (50% uncommon, 33% rare, 12% Mythic). The difficulty of the restrictions increases with the rarity, so if you don't feel comfortable, you should definitely stick to the common ones, there are no downsides to them.
4) I will reply with the front side of the two cards you have chosen. You will have to design four cards based on the restrictions of your design and flavour packs.
YOU MUST ALWAYS DESIGN FOUR CARDS, ONE OF EACH RARITY, UNLESS YOUR PACKS SAY OTHERWISE.
5) At the end of the contest, I will give you personalised feedback on your entry and I will make a ranking based on how many people entered the contest.

- Ask for packs in the comments, choose one Design pack and one Flavor pack.
- Design FOUR cards (1 common, 1 uncommon, 1 rare, 1 mythic rare) by respecting all the rules in your pack.
- END OF CONTEST: Sunday, August 16th 2020
- Rewards will be adjusted depending on the number of entries
- Old cards are allowed, illustrations are required
Hopefully this works! x) Fair warning, this is probably going to be difficult, let's see who can step up to the challenge =D

And one flavor pack between those 3:
@ningyounk
May I get the Technician design pack and flavor pack #25? I'm ready for the challenge!!
Yeaaah, we have our first valorous contestant! =D Here are your packs:
DESIGN PACK: Technician (Uncommon)
So, technician is a keyword tribal pack, in the same spirit as Ikoria cards such as Skycat Sovereign or Sonorous Howlbonder. Let me know if you need additional explanation on the rules of this pack!
FLAVOR PACK: #25 (Uncommon)
Pack #25 is the Kamigawa pack! Try to stick as much as possible to Japanese lore when making your entry and, to make things harder, you cannot use the colours white and blue
Good luck! Tell me if you need any clarification ^^

You're in? =D If so, you can choose a pack from these 3 design packs:
And one pack from these 3 flavor packs:
I want the pack 1 everthing shiny and pack 1 flavor.
Ooh going for the Mythic pack hey? x) Fair warning, this one is a bit more difficult to design for than other packs! Here it is:
This pack *does* overrule the 1 card/rarity rule, but you still need to design four cards (though they must all be rare or mythic rare, no common or uncommon allowed).
And here's your flavor pack #01:
For the next person who wants to enter, I already posted a batch of packs ready for the taking just above: Click to jump to it.
Alright! Here is the uncommon design pack:
This is a tribal pack, and to help you decide what should be the tribe you design for here's the first flavour pack (#15):
Amonkhet, with no blue and no green! Good luck
___
The next person who wishes to enter can claim one design pack and one flavour pack from these next 6:
Here you go!
This is a pump spell pack, with a few strange ingredients thrown in the soup to spice it up! As for the flavour pack, this one is a bit of a curve ball but hopefully in a good sense:
Note that you don't have to design elves AND goblins, you can also choose one of them and ignore the other is you prefer. Hopefully the two packs go well together, good luck!

@ LordTachanka123
Great! Here are your packs, please choose one design and one flavor from among them:
___
The next person who wishes to enter can choose one design and one flavor pack from among the following 6:
Anyways, this challenge should be really fun!!
Sure, you can't use black and red but you are allowed colorless cards such as lands (as long as they are rare or mythic rare because of your design pack). Hopefully this answers your question?
1. All cards must make one or more creatures bigger (pump spell).
I decided to expand on one of the darker Lorwyn tribe of elves called the Gilt-Leaf. According to that link: "The Gilt Leaf tribe was known for their effective and ruthless packs of hunters, and also for being one of the most obsessed with the concept of beauty to determine an individual's status and worth. Those who were found ugly, disfigured, or maimed were proclaimed eyeblights and either killed or transformed into the vinebred warriors."
That said, here are my four:
(P.S. if you squint your eyes at the artwork on Winnower's Snare, you'll see the dark elves hiding in the shadows!)
Wonderful, all restrictions have been met, congrats! The flavour is really strong, going with the Gilt-Leaf was a really nice touch =D
i’ll take the “Knows it all” design pack and flavor pack #29
Here you go, this is your design pack:
This is a card advantage pack, drawing cards, making the opponent discard, playing cards from the top of your library, anything is fair game as long as it allows you to have access to more cards than your opponent ^^ As for the flavor pack #29:
Dragons in Grixis colours! This combination of colours should work great with your design pack Good luck!
___
The next person who wants to join in can claim a design pack and a flavor pack from those six:
This pack is really hard
Links attached to the card
Absolutely just posting is enough ^^ You managed to satisfy all the criteria congrats! =D
And yeah, the rarer the packs the harder they get, so Everything Shiny is easily one of the most difficult I have! ;p
If you want to join, you can claim one of the packs from the post right above, they are still for the taking! (Mystical Arts / Call an Ambulance / Good Fortune and 02/11/32) ^^
I made this a vertical cycle to please myself .
Corrupted Ronin- Fulfills Design Pack Requirement 1
Bloodpact Ronin- Fulfills Design Pack Requirement 3 (Since deathtouch causes creatures to die, this is a payoff for having desthtouch on creatures)
Feared Ronin - Fulfills Design Pack Requirement 2 and 3
Miyako, Demon Bound- Fulfills Design Pack Requirement 2 and 3
Flavor Pack:
All of them are in the colors black, red, and/or green. I use the samurai creature type to help communicarte some of the kamigawa theme. I also referenced Kuro, a kamigawa demon that gained control of the Nezumi (a race of rats that did have samurai) and used them as his own minions. I used Kuro as a means to show how demons corrupt many samurai.
I hope this is okay!
