https://mtg.design/i/zffv58.jpg (Rick Pier O'neil) "The temporarily settlements have been constructed. The sea god has held them safe for now. But it's only for so long. The war looming with the warriors(@AxNoodle) could be our safest bet for territory." The mage sighed. They were doing to the samurai what had been done to themselves so long ago. But no matter. War was imminent. "Keep spreading these shelters throughout the ocean. Soon we will take all the seas. And we will not show any opponents mercy."
Sorry I was slow, I have tried multiple times to unsuccessfully find art for my entry, reworked what my entry would be, continued to not find art, made a card, and ran out of time for lore. So I will post lore early tomorrow (for me, that is). For now, I have a card and a basic explanation of what we are doing.
We open a rift back to Tsayami to allow our greater army to flood through. We then take that army to expand into the middle of the plane, specifically northeast, capturing any natives or others in our way as labourers.
OwO? Also, @KorandAngels you might not be, but at this point the Schwarmi Nodule will accept a complete surrender and the creation of a slave class or just continue to do their "pseudo-attacks".
Excellent @ChoyBoi. We shall allow you to retreat from the field with no reprecussions. You were brought in under false pretenses by the New Dromokans.
Your defiance is noted @KorandAngels and we are amused by the lack of math involved. Peace is an option, one even negotiable, but each attack you bring upon us will make it more costly. Until then, we shall leave you with this promise: As long as you are in conflict with us, you will not know the fruits of your harvests.
Nevia sat in the chair overlooking the great city of Archeron, comfortably placed within her citadel. Her greatest advisor, the lady Seraphina, sat in a chair beside her, waiting for her lady to speak. "Even with the anti-aging spells, I can still feel my bones creaking," Nevia said with a sad smile. She was the picture of a queen, appearing to be in her mid-30s. "Do you think it is time for me to arrive on Nemain? Jene says they are going to engage in a large scale battle, and are hoping to have me appear for a moment."
"But...the anti-aging spells are anchored in the citadel, you'll die in seconds!" Seraphina explained. "By the time it would take you to get through the portal, you'd already be dead!"
"I plan on finding my own way to Nemain, a far, easier, per se route." Nevia sighed. "The Rising Sun may still need me, but I will still have enough time left in me by the time I return to wait until the end of the Nemain campaign. Jene will have returned here in victory, and should be able to stop this beautiful empire from fracturing at the core."
"So," Seraphina's face was twisted in anguish, "You plan to unleash your wrath upon these other factions?"
"Precisely. I have been accumulating power, preparing for this moment at which my great-granddaughter will call me." Nevia held out her hand, a ball of light as bright as the sun forming. "This is but a mere piece of the power I possess at the moment."
"Then let these other worlds know of the wrath of the Rising Sun, and the Wrath of Nevia."
Hehehehehehehehe. Your lucky we decided for peace. @RegalGorgon13 and allies, there is still time to back out of this battle and surrender parts of your land to us.
Alright, first things first, let's finalize the trade deal between the Four Seasons Kingdom and @TimurGlint's Zarildi Dominion.
Jael pondered the emissary's offer for a few moments, and finally said, "We have no need for ancient relics, and we are never without food because of our ability to grow seasonal crops year-round. However, gold and weapons of quality sound like fine things to trade for. On our end, we have found our lands to be especially silver-rich, if that is a material you are interested in. We can also send some trained wizards who can change the weather in an area to whatever conditions you would deem most favorable at the time. Would you agree to these terms?" Jael sits back, and waits for a response.
Ok, now that we've got that out of the way, it's expansion time!
This handy graphic shows where I will and won't be expanding, which shall be explained in character.
After months of expanding to the west, the Four Seasons Kingdom finally hit another coastline. Now, Jael needed to decide where to go from there. There was still much unexplored territory to the southeast, so that was where Jael decided to send his scouts first. (This is just basic expansion, so I decided not to make a card for it as I'm mostly using the same tactic I did for the original exploration challenge.) After that, he had ships sail north and west, to see if there were any other land masses in those directions. Because of the Kingdom's claim to some islands close to the mainland, Jael knew that there were other factions residing there. He did not want to go to war over land when there was plenty of land left to be explored where the Kingdom currently resided, so he sent no ships to the east. With these ships he sent trained mages capable of manipulating the seasons in a small area to change the weather so that they would have smooth sailing all the way through their journey.

To the north, the explorers found some (@TimurGlint unless the Dominion has moved south from the island they currently occupy in the group) unoccupied islands, which were claimed for the Kingdom. To the west, they found only one small island. At first glance it seemed like nothing special. However, upon further inspection, this tiny piece of land was certainly not insignificant. The land itself seemed to be charged with magic, for a reason currently unknown. Jael sent Springan researchers to attempt to unlock the secrets of the island and figure out a way to harness it's power.

Alright, there we go! My entry is finally in, sorry it took so long.
The battalion of Greater Path mages stood around the tip of a mountain. The air was frigid, yet electrified with anticipation, for all stood on the mountain that day had prepared their entire career for this one moment.
At the head of the circle, Tomakaru began to weave the spell. Each mage in turn added their own strands to the mass of light, growing stronger, more intense, brighter with each strand. For miles away in the nearby settlements, all witnessed the growing light upon the mountain, high enough for all to see, low enough to be accessible.
The light soon became near unbearable, but strands kept flying into the rising light. A breaking point was sure to reach - Silence. The light dimmed, then expanded, until a window opened into the frosted air. Warmth gusted in through the window, and out gusted the soldiers. This was it.
Kanamaru grouped the soldiers from the base of the mountain, announcing to all. "With the rift back to Tsayami open, we may now begin our glorious expansion. Now go! For the honour of Tsayami!"
"We're spreading ourselves a little thin with alliances, aren't we?" Sarai asked. She was looking out of her office's window, arms crossed behind her back.
"Better to have allies than enemies," Tenar replied. She was sitting in a chair beside Sarai's desk, absentmindedly playing with a finger trap. "That's what you said, right? Besides, if the New Dromoka fall to the Schwarmi, we can claim at least part of their territory."
"And if the Schwarmi fall to the Dromoka?" Sarai replied.
Tenar shrugged. "Rethink our alliance, I guess." She got up and walked over to stand by the knight-commander. "Whatever comes, we will overcome it." She put her hand on Sarai's shoulder. "Write your letters. Send messengers. Then see if you can't call up some more knights."
Sarai smiled at Tenar. "I'll see what I can do."
@AxNoodle@ChoyBoi the Qatha Federation is seeking to become allies with your factions. Whether or not you accept is up to you.
