Instants are hella fun IMO... combat tricks for one. Edge-of-your-seat Krossan grips on an infinite combo piece or something like a Dictate of Erebos in response to a Hex... Well, those are the best games I've ever had. Most unfun have 3feri preventing instant speed removal.
I have no sympathy... that's survival man. I was on the receiving end of the Dictate one. Still was hella fun. Dissapointing to lose, but a fun, fair game.
@KorandAngels Some backstory to your love of Dromoka? You seem to have a history of wanting to destroy instants - your anti-counterspell contest, the string about Dromoka being a good card, the commander deck string - it's all coming together.
(also @HeroKP I changed my entry again so the text makes sense now)
@AxNoodle I disliked instants before I knew Dromoka existed. Sometime after that I looked into the lore and that was pretty cool (Abzan was already my favourite clan and dropping black made it more my type of thing). But really, I don't know where my patrioticism towards her came.
I think part fo why I do hate it so much is that, since I play mono-white commander, I never have cards in hand, so if someone counters a big thing I play, even if I still have mana open, it's basically wasting my turn. Card draw is still overrated though. If you watch Game Knights, you'll know how that drawing cards is not the way you actually win. ATTACKING is how you ACTUALLY WIN. Granted it's kinda bad without any value to be just attacking, but still... I'm not talking about the evil that is counterspells anymore. I'll shut up now.
The small ship saw an island in the distant, but the storm still raged. The ship was protected by it's magiks, but it was still loud and dark. The captain looked off into the distance.
The crew members communicated in their silent tongue, their sign language, of all matters.
Everyone, land is near! Ready yourselves! The captain announced. The crew rushed to position, nearly tripping over the rocking boat.
They approached the island, oh so close. They had been sent to examine the island for their God. If it was fertile, they could use it for farmland.
The island I'm referring to is the closest one to the Mystics
Sorry for my lack of story, I'm gettin a little rushed and would rather get something in then nothing.
Kamagiwik listens to the sound of waves on the shore. He can't believe there's nothing beyond the sea. The ocean is so big, that a small island easily can be unknown, but the exploration of The Great Sea is strictly forbidden by an ancient law... But isn't he a reformer after all? Can't he change the tradition? Here's the answer:
-Start building a ship as big as a dinosaur, as big as a dragon! I will personally sail west and south!
Sanikok, who became The Advisor of Exploration, answered:
- And what about the ancient law?
-Am I the Great Chief or a child?! Start preparing for the journey!
Finally, when the ship was built Kamagiwik and his men sailed south. (They didn't forget to take Gatlah in case of diplomacy) They've been sailing for a week until they reached a strange country, where all the seasons were mixed. Kamagiwik sent Gatlah and his loyal steed to start trade relationships with these people. @Aggroman15 do you accept the trade agreement?
Then they returned and soon started another expedition, that time on west. They were sailing for three days until a giant storm started. The skies were thundering for a week until the sun showed up and tired Sanikok saw an island.
-Land! Land, captain! I can see some kind of temple there!
-Great! We offload now!
But when explorers reached the temple, they found out that the temple was in ruins and the civilization was gone.
The temple:
-We shall explore these mysterious ruins!- Kamagiwik desided.
-Chief! We should build a base there, so we can explore the Temple more carefully and in detail!- A sailor said.
- What is your name, man who speaks so wisely?
- My name is Tehonapa, a simple warrior.
-Then now you are the Main Archeologist of this island!
I'm sorry, I ***JUST*** got finished with school for the year, and I'm trying to recover. I'll see if I can do something tomorrow morning, or tonight if I'm lucky
The colonization and expansion is going well. There are indicators that there are others on this world, whether settled or new has yet to be determined. We have sent out an envoy to one of the least primitive of the civilizations, but have heard no response and the Node we sent has fallen off of our grid, presumed terminated. However, it is no matter for now. We have our goals, and the first is to make this place sustainable for us. The progress in these matters is going wonderfully; we have been deposited into a cave system full of natural resources, and the land outside our bounderies looks fertile and splendid. There are native populations, each dissimilar to the others on either side of us, and it will be no difficulty to enslave one or the other to help serve on the more dangerous locations that we have. To that extent, we have already started establishing farms and automating them. The customary crops are finding it somewhat hard growing here, but there are others that we have determined will be edible by these populations.
One more thing worthy of noting in this documentation is that we appear to have some difficulty with a new crystal. It seems to mess with our electronic components, disturbing the fields inside some of our nodes. We are currently working on deciphering what it is and why it behaves this way, while simultaneously reaching out to the islands and forward. While this is pure speculation at this point, I disagree with Sentena that the natives will be easily defeated with only one or two blows. I expect something a bit more violent and extensive, and will suggest behaving accordingly when we sit in council.

The fun that comes from instants is a matter of opinion

And that's a lot of islands.

24 HOURS LEFT!
While you can afford to fall behind on tasks ever so slightly, since this isn't an elimination challenge yet, but this is VERY ill-advised.
Would you like a 24 hour extension then?
D :
Well, good luck to you, in whatever you may get up to next. I hope you find your path well.
