I want to build a masters set.

But I don't know all the cards. Here be what I am have:
Commons:
White:
Benalish Hero
Uncommons:
White:
Grand Abolisher (As Uncommon)
Rare:
Green:
Aid from the Cowl
Multicolour:
Dragonlord Dromoka (As rare)
(I have Benalish Hero here because I just bought a 4-of of them at my games shop for cheap, and then I built a deck around them using random cards I owned. I bet it's the only deck to run both 3 Healer's Hawks and Audacious Infiltrators. I will do a youtube video about it once I get a channel.)

  • @KorandAngels Alright. Starting with the assumption that you're potentially looking for help with it or something, I've got a few small questions:

     - Presumably you mean a masters set in the sense of "all reprints of real cards" kind of thing? You almost certainly do, but it can't hurt to double-check that you aren't actually planning a cube-ish project or something.

     - Have you got any particular aims within it for base themes (both in the sense of color groups or whatever, and more general stuff like how Ultimate Masters was sort of graveyard themed)?
  • 1. That is what I mean.
    2. Not really. I might make Banding a theme but it's very unlikelly. I will probably go with UB control though, so the instant hate cards are useful.
  • Four cards that don't exhibit any particular synergy isn't exactly a strong starting place for a whole reprint set, though it sounds like you may want to consider a cube. You can curate a draft environment with a small number of cards (typically 360 for up to 8 players) and shape it to include cards you like. There are plenty of good resources on starting cubes all over the internet but CubeTutor and CubeCobra in particular are stellar.
  • I already have a cube on Untap.in.
  • (You are right though)
  • I just want a Dromoka reprint so I can get one.
  • So, really I am just working in the opposite order to normal. Instead of having stratergies and finding cards to put in them, I have cards and need to find archetpes to put them in. We wouldn't do all the commons anyway.
