One of the things that aggro always likes access to a few of are cards that can be played as early-cost things that work, but also function in a slightly later game state where everything is in balance and a little extra value might be necessary. Abbot of Keral Keep fitted that role once upon a time in burnier aggro lists (and still does in some). This is intended to do a similar job, but with a greater focus on immediate action and pressure. Perhaps it isn't the strongest card in the world, but hey. You didn't demand top of the range power levels, and it'll get the job done.
Sorry guys, I should have known not to start a contest right before thanksgiving break ended. But we did get to do the first round, albeit with only eight cards, but whatever.
Third place: Ranshi’s Interception Raven.
It was very cool, and it would fit very well into a control deck. I’d even omit a Squadron Hawk or two from Caw-Go in favor of Interception Raven, as a way to get out some card control before Jace comes out, and to prevent them from drawing ways to remove Jace. Good job, overall!
Second place: Usaername’s Iyn, Deathshroud Dreamer.
I really liked Iyn! The special frame is cool, and both "sides" would be good to have in decks that like using escape. I did have a little nitpick, shouldn’t the frame be hybrid, since it has no mana symbols except what’s basically a U/B hybrid mana symbol? Anyway, you definitely took midrange to a different place than I expected, and it turned out really good.
First place: MemoryHead’s Artful Ringmaster.
Jeez, you really are good at making cards. I like everything about it. I think it’s an interesting way to do aggro, potentially getting out something like a Shock or Lightning Bolt while buffing Artful Ringmaster and letting it attack immediately, and I also love how it fits into the Rakdos flavor super well. Good job, my friend!
@Ranshi Sorry, when I started the contest I didn’t realize how much stuff I would have going on in the near future. I don’t think I’ll have enough time to actively host a contest, so I just chose some winners and announced them. If you guys can all agree on someone, a different person can host from here, or we can just call the contest over. Again, I am sorry.

Just waiting on your cards!
