The name and concept of this card was inspired by the art and concept of Mirror Gallery. Given that it's a legendary equipment, the goal was to also give it an ability that didn't depend on it remaining equipped to a creature, like Umezawa's Jitte.
hey @AboveAndAbout, I'm sorry to say but Flux isn't a card type as is, rather it's a supertype, like basic, snow, and legendary. It's certainly an interesting mechanic, and one I hope you include in some other cards going forward, but unfortunately it doesn't qualify for the challenge. While I'm here though, I must say, Turn the Tide is one of the most interesting concepts I've seen in a hot minute. Keep up the good work!
Cosmic is a mechanic I made up that I have been using for many different uses. One of these uses is to reduce the cost of a card by giving it a small delay effect. Also, since instants and sorceries can't be phased out, I have been using enchantments with instant/sorcery-like effects. You can probably tell that this is supposed to be a delayed lightning bolt.
Hey @Jadefire. Isperia's Verdict doesn't match challenge number 10, as it has no casting cost. This is different from a card with a casting cost of 0, which is the object of the challenge
@Usaername you may consider tightening up the wording of challenge 10 if you only want submissions with mana costs of 0. Cards with no printed mana cost have a converted mana cost of 0, which could be one interpretation of the ambiguous "cost" of 0.
Name: KorandAngels, Herald of Dromoka; Knight of Arashin. Challenge: 17) - A card with 3 or more mechanics used/represented. (these must be non base/evergreen mechanics. Heroic and Landfall are good, flash and scry, flying, haste etc are nor mechanics. Challenge Entry: 2/12 Card name: Iv, the Inferno Adder Card link: https://mtgcardsmith.com/view/iv-the-inferno-adder
Notes: This represents heroic, banding and regenerate. The set symbol is by @Corwinnn. I don't really know how under/overpowered this is, but I tried my best. There was quite a lot of tweaking at the end.
@AboveAndAbout Yeah, pretty much. The only black-bordered dice-rolling that exists in reality is the planar die for Planechase. It's a custom card site, though, so people can do whatever they feel like doing.
Totems are cards that are held in hand and provide a passive effect for as long as they remain in your hand. Think of them like a combination of Diablo II's charms and MTG's Vanguard cards. Some details on how totems work: -All of them have the text (Reveal
this card when you draw it. It stays revealed for as long as it remains in your
hand.) -The printed
values on the card indicate the adjustment to its controller’s maximum hand size
if a player is still holding the totem by their cleanup step (-4 to +3) and the number of
copies allowed in the deck (1 to 4). -Weak effects
compensate the hand (+1 to +3) while strong effects tax the hand (0 to -4). The net impact on a player’s hand is -1 the
indicated number because the totem itself needs to be held as well. -If a totem is legendary, it’s subject to a
modified “legend rule.” If any additional
copies with the same name are drawn, its controller must choose one of them in
their hand and discard the rest as a state-based effect. This
allows totems to be higher-frequency but caps their effect without having to
rely on hand size modifications.
Some other ideas for totems: Steely Stance - Untapped
creatures you control get +0/+1. [Hand:-1, Deck:3] Deathly Gaze - At
the beginning of your upkeep, Deathly Gaze deals 1 damage to target creature you
don’t control. [Hand:-2, Deck:3]
Only because MTGCS doesn't have the {2/u} icon, otherwise it'd be {1}{2/u}
