The Gear Wars ( 60 cards for each fraction)
In this World there are only two fractions the Zion fraction lead by Selene and her Gearworker Cog, and the Rapture Fraction lead by her brother Deacon and his Gearworker SparkPlug.
Story:
They were not always at war. Once the two fractions lived peacefuly, side by side, helping each other. Deacon was a talented Artificer capable of crafting great machines to keep their Bronze city of Zion in working order. Selene was Zion's Blacksmith. She made the weapons of war and Deacon made the machines she used.
They were Forbiddion to make any kind of living beings. Deacon despised this rule and went before the High Council many a time claiming they could do more work than any trained man could in a day. But the council denied his request to build one for fear that they might overthrow the city and destroy it. Selene believed in the council's rule. She claimed they had a reason to forbid the creation of "Gearworkers", as Deacon had named the idea.
Deacon had Hope that his sister would believe in his idea to help the city and her when she told him that she believed in the council's rule he was devastated. Two years after the last council meeting about the idea, Deacon was arrested for having broken the sacred rule. Deacon had made a Gearworker in the storage room of his workshop.
The High Council determined this was unforgivable, and in his trial, Deacon was Banished from the Bronze City of Zion never to be able to return.
When Deacon looked toward his sister for help during the trial he saw nothing, not even a tear! Deacon then vowed to return with an army of Gearworkers to show the council just how useful they could be! Deacon was banished to the Scrap First City of Zion and his Gearworker was banished with him. When they got there, Deacon marveled at all the Spare Parts around him. The city had become a refuse for all manner of metal remnants. Deacon had all the tools he needed to forge his Creations of War.
When a scout came back from a scrap run, he requested a meeting with the High Council and Selene. He had urgent news. He saw in side the walls of the banished city. He saw Deacon's War Machines. The High Council was in horror. Zion was never built to defend against that kind of power.
The council called upon Selene, Zion's only remaining Artificer, to build an army capable of defending the city from Deacon's wrath. Selene agreed. but she was horrified that they wanted her to go to war with her own brother. The war Had begun.

Whichever Deacon was on. I always love doing stuff for the bad-guys.
