Mana cost images not appearing when using italics

So, I've been trying to make a card for a while now, bu I've noticed that if I use italics in the abilities box, it disables any mana symbols from appearing (they instead appear as {b} or {t}). Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, is there a way to prevent it from happening? Thanks for the help!

    It should work. It works on my cards...
    Here is an example

    I know they don't work on Planeswalkers. Are you using the M15 frame or the Modern frame?

    You could try this.
    < i > [ insert text ] < / i > [ insert mana symbol(s)] < i > [ insert text ] < / i >

    TEXT [ mana symbol(s) ] TEXT

    - Of course, you'd have to close the gap when you do < i >.

    Sounds to me like a general problem with the Modern frame? From my experience at least. Some things you've just got to live with. :D

    I don't think the Modern frame still supports that. I've never tried, and when mana symbols first became usually in the abilities text, you couldn't do it with italics, either.
