@Usaername I hope its fine that I deicided to change the planeswalker card for the contest. I kept the same activity card, although I would likely be chatting with many other people at the festival as well.
Lennier: Very outgoing and friendly. Likes to chat and have fun, but doesn't take too kindly to those who try to ruin festivals or to those who annoy him. He has already caused two nuclear explosions with his unique magic.
Sabrina: Lennier's sister (Dead IRL) who was resurrected during the Earth block (Found on TGBC_Earth) who wants to make up for all the missed time with her brother and gets overly worried about him when she hears bad news about him. Many confuse her as her brother's girlfriend, but he already has a mermaid to fill that role.
@TheGamingBolasChannel if you want to write some story bits, go ahead! best if they're not too long though, otherwise they may crowd the threat somewhat
@Usaername they'll likely be posted near the end as I want to know all the characters and events to include in it. Plus I'll likely post the link to the google docs for it when I have completed it. Also, could you have people add a little about their character's personalities? As that will help me write their characters
Caiden was originally a human draco/pyromancer born on an unknown plane, but after being affected by the time shift on Tarkir, became part-dragon. In addition to becoming part-dragon, Caiden also became a necromancer and now specializes in raising the dead. However, this doesn't mean that he has to stick to only necromancy, as they still can throw fireballs and summon dragons.
(Note: Shadowverse, the game that I got this art from doesn't really credit their artists, so there would be an extremely low chance that I would be able to find the artist.)
You'll probably see me hanging around the festival. I'm not one for big crowds but don't mind them too much when around friends.
@WarriorCatInAhat your hat has gone missing?! This is a dire problem. I, esteemed host Sae Name, will make sure that it is returned to you. In the meantime, perhaps you could consult the Lotus Readers? I hear their ability to locate things is second to none.
@DaHernandez1127 welcome aboard the forums and to the Festival! Glad to have you here.
It is I, Choy, here at the festival. An unparalleled wright of plays and books, I (and my troupe of inklings) am here to bring stories of the past to this wondrous festival. As every author is, I am extremely self-conscious of my writing, so the performances I conduct are entirely run by my writing itself, and I am nowhere to be found (to be honest, I will probably be puking from fear of my play failing in the woods).
The festival is something I doubt I'd pass up, despite being rather quiet at times. After all, it's a good chance to get a look at everything people bring to it, and I enjoy seeing well-made things.
I'd probably go around the marketplace during a festival, but I'll probably spend so much time thinking about what I want to get, that I'll end up not getting anything .
hello @Everyone, esteemed host Sae Name here with your second challenge! And that is to create a card of a creature that you would see at a festival! I'll update my pinned post with examples, as well as the challenge in more detail! happy smithing...
The reason I gave it an activated ability is because I thought it would be weird if I had it say "And its activated abilities can't be activated" and not give it an activated ability.
My cards have a set of deep hidden meanings that can't be seen from the plane eye.
{Challenge 1} This fully portrays how I see myself. Not as a villain, not as a hero. Somewhere...somewhere..in the middle. Everything is matter, dust, essence, in finality. I think of myself as guiding myself based on instincts and proof. Matter that need not be preserved need not be preserved. It's up to us to choose.....life or death? I feel that B/W best represents that.
{Challenge 2} In a festival, I would probably leave people to do their thing, dancing and yelling, and, because of my introversion around strangers, explore the parts of the festival, where no one really was, and see what was around there. This represents my shyness and will of mind to do what my mind tells me, where my mind tells me.
{Challenge 3} I like to buy random things from festivals. Things that subtly hint my personality, things that represent ideas that I support, and finally, things that add to the collective painting of myself, in my own philosophy.
Hello everyone. Your host, Sae Name here. Great entries so far! I have a message here from our lovely groundskeeper/recordkeeper duo Cecil and Sue:
"Hey everyone, Cecil here!"
"..."
"Introduce yourself Sue?"
"No."
"She's not much of a talker. Anyways, I hope you're all enjoying the festival! We've had many vendors, entertainers, and adorable creatures grace our wonderful festival. However, we've also had some unsavory figures appear as well. If you spot any, make sure to report them by posting them here in this thread. Sue's prepared a chart to show how to spot someone doing unsavory things. Sue, would you present the chart please?"
"No."
"Okay, looks like I'm going to present it..."
"To see if a person is cool or uncool, just look and see if they're helping out or having a good time. Here's some examples:"
"They may be dead, but they're still having a good time! Conclusion: Cool."
"Get a load of this loser. Imagine trying to take advantage of a festival. Conclusion: Uncool"
"Anyways, this has been Cecil and- No, actually it's just been me-"
"Be quiet Cecil I made the chart"
"Yes, I suppose... Anyways, that's all for now. Please continue to enjoy the festival!"
All this to say that you don't have to necessarily only make morally good Festival-goers, you can make some uncool people or creepy monsters that might like to hang around festivals as well. After all, conflict brings excitement! And what's a festival without excitement, eh?

(card going to be edited sometime later today)
so I guess I'll go watch some fireworks and see if it turns up...
woopsies. looks like somebody weaponized the fireworks.
A pirate who has an army that keeps growing. His magic allows him to conjure the essence of the Kraken. Loves parties?
As coldhearted as he seems, he remembers every death in his crew.

because I have some stuff I want to add

I like to celebrate with a little psychedelics.

...Only as a sorcery. Any player may activate this ability. (Missed something again.)

One creature that might be at a festival could be an elephant pulling a statue to where it's going to be set up.
