    Sigrun lights a candle and holds the ring up to it. No inscriptions, no change, nothing. So why was she holding it, especially this late at night?

    The young woman sat down, still looking at the ring. Finally, after thinking it over, she took the ring off the string she had put it on and slipped it onto her finger. It was, after all, just a ring, and couldn't do much harm to her.
