Current Status in the Tommia Set: Savage, on an endless hunt to kill Alan Maxis
Abilities: Grows in strength and size as he consumes flesh and blood, virtually unkillable, has an insatiable hunger and an unsettling bloodlust, easily hulks over the tallest man, has lived for over a thousand years
Colors: RB
Motive: He comes not for the throne, but for the head of Maxis. He'd prefer to devour Tommia rather than rule it.
No one knows how he got to Tommia, or who, if anyone, helped him, but one thing is clear; he comes with a grudge.
Originally, Kiga had been found by Maxis on Earthrealm as the last surviving Minotaur of his clan, his bloodline slain by eternal struggle...
His story began in ancient times. He was born into a war clan known as the Nighuto, and his father brought him into a life of conquest, a life of war. His clan fought against the humans that had come to take their land, and their goal was to kill all opposition and take over the world.
It seemed as if no one could stop them; if the Nighuto charged, the Nighuto won, with little or no injuries to the clan. Eventually, they took over the continent of Africa, but soon, tragedy struck: the discovery of black powder. Now armed with wares beyond the Nighuto clan's comprehension, the humans attacked, and the clan watched as their comrades died one by one.
Terror struck Kiga as those who he had known for years vanished as if they never existed. He charged onto the battlefield surrounded by allies, and returned alone; for once, he felt fear, and he couldn't help but wonder if he was next.
The Nighuto population soon dwindled; an army of thousands now contained roughly a few hundred. They begun to lose the territory the fought so hard to gain, and didn't have enough members to effectively defend it. Eventually, the empire shrunk down to a small fort that they had taken over, which was soon attacked by humans.
Ultimately, the humans won. Anyone able to fight the invaders died doing so, and Kiga bore witness to the death of his best friends, his strongest allies, and eventually, his family. Despite his efforts, he was captured, and locked in a dungeon alone.
His years in this dungeon were his grimmest. For over a thousand years, he was chained and fed little to nothing. He was tortured by his captivators, and never saw the light of day. One fine day, however, the castle in which the dungeon was in was taken over by the rebel army. He was still seen as a threat, but a small group of rebels saw him as a capable weapon.
Alan Maxis did not support Kiga's weaponization, but he felt sympathy for him after learning his story. For the first time in over a thousand years, Kiga tasted real food; they fed him meat, despite the "warnings" left on the walls. Soon, however, they saw why this notice was left. Every day, the people in charge of feeding him observed an increase in his size and strength. He started to feel alive again, and for those in support of his weaponization, this was something they could exploit.
Every day, the group of traitors met with Kiga in his dungeon, feeding him every scrap of meat they could gather. Corpses. Leftovers. One day, they downed a massive beast, and fed it to Kiga limb by limb. However, these feedings had an unintended side effect. As Kiga grew, the cuffs on his wrists began to cut into him. The chains started to become too weak for him, and eventually, he broke them.
When the group of rebels came down to feed a laying Kiga, they smiled. They came to Maxis to report the news, and re-request his weaponization. Maxis saw little choice in the matter, and he was retrained into a warrior.
As Kiga charged back into the fray, he felt like the warrior he was born to be, but he kept his hate for the human being. He often lost his mind to his bloodlust, and killed and devoured everyone who got in his way, friendly or not. Maxis saw this and order Kiga to be held captive once again. However, he soon regretted this decision.
The rebel army was attacked by the Hyperbase force, and all of their provisions were either stolen, destroyed, or unusable. Soon, the rebel army into chaos and despair. They suffered through pestilence and famine, and they were weakened significantly. Maxis tried his best to share what little was left among those who remained, but the army inevitably turned on itself, and gave into insanity.
Soldiers turned on one another, and cannibalism became commonplace. They were less obedient, and often disobeyed orders. In they end, they gave into Kiga's ideology, and began to plot his rise to power. That rise soon came.
Maxis stepped down from command after he saw what had become of his army. With little choice, he turned control over to Kiga, noting his past combat experience, who turned the army into the Nighuto, his old clan. This was a terrible mistake, as the army felt that Maxis had failed at leading them. In fact, for years they had, in technicality, led themselves. With Kiga, they planned the next move, and attacked Maxis, who's spark ignited. Casting a curse on Kiga, Maxis planeswalked to Tommia
Nothing else is known about Kiga's past, but somehow, he's managed to make it to Tommia. He's also managed to grow massively, even outgrowing the magic armor that had been specifically designed for his "disorder". He hunts for Maxis during every waking hour, and kills anyone that isn't of any use, which for him, is everyone.
