Why are Nephilim not legendary?!

  One of the WotC designers had a discussion about this a while ago. The Nephilim were designed to be completely separate from Ravnica, unrelated to the guild they represented. This plan bombed and every hated them. However, the importance here is that, flavorfully, it would make no sense for the Nephilim to be legendary.
  
  He has been slapping himself for that decision ever since. He says, if I remember correctly, "..if I could go and errata the Nephilim into legendaries, I would do it this instant." ...or something like that. Everyone acknowledges that they should have been legendary, but they can't just do it.

  I remember that as well. The regret the designer has for them not being legendary.

  well, if they come out with a four-color commander supplement one day, possibly they'll make the nephilim legendary. in the meantime, what good leaders of three to five color aura decks would you suggest?

  @CrucibleOfHate- It would have made perfect sense for the nephilim to be legendary. not only are the cards OP if you stack them, I have read the story of the ravnica block and there are FIVE nephilim. FIVE NEPHILIM. Not an army, not fifteen, FIVE NEPHILIM! how many different nephilim cards are there? FIVE! each one should be legendary!

  @CrucibleOfHate- hate to puncture your ego, but the Nephilim are a key part of the Dissension storyline(they start the whole distruction of the Utvara area/main city). and there are only five of them in the story, so, five legendaries.
