Mirrodin Pure "Peasant" Contest
Hey everyone!
I've recently gotten back to working on my custom set Mirrodin Pure, (See the intro here: http://forums.mtgcardsmith.com/discussion/649/mirriodin-pure-introduction-and-contest#latest) and have many more ideas for cards I'd like to publish for it. There's only one problem, most of the cards I came up with are rares and mythics, so I'd like to assign YOU with the hardest job a card developer can have. Making commons and uncommons.
Restrictions:
The few restrictions I'll place upon your cards are thus. I'd prefer if you didn't make functional reprints of things like Shock and Grizzly Bears. I'd also like you to use the new set mechanics, which I will list below if you haven't seen the original page yet. That is all! Thanks, and have fun! (P.S. Please keep in mind I will most likely be using these cards for my set, so if you don't want me to, either say so or don't comment.)
Set Mechanics:
-Infest, a numbered phyrexian mechanic that returns a killed creature with a number of -1/-1 counters (Ex. infest 6 "when a creature dealt damage by this creature dies, return that creature to the battlefield under your control with 6 -1/-1 counters on it.")
-Arm, an "equip" alternative on equipment creatures. Yes you heard me, equipment creatures. The phyrexians had made their living into weapons, so the mirrodins figured they better make their weapons living. (Ex. Arm {6} "This creature becomes an equipment, attach it to target creature you control. It becomes a creature again if its not attached to a creature. Arm only as a sorcery)
-Dawn, another Mirrodin mechanic that is basically domain, but can be more specific. (Ex. Dawn {u}{u}{u}-When this creature enters the battlefield, draw a card if you control 3 or more islands.)
-Stagnant Strike, "Slow strike," it is basically reverse first strike and would usually be on big, lumbering, artifact creatures. This also opens the way for triple strike...(Ex. Stagnant strike "This creature deals combat damage after creatures without stagnant strike." Triple strike "This creature deals first strike, stagnant strike, and regular combat damage.")
