  @kandra127 If you're referring to the Dominaria Card "Yawgmoth's Vile Offering," then you should probably know that all of the Legendary Sorcery cards are cards representing events from the past. Urza's Ruinous Blast is showing Urza using the Golgothian Sylex to defeat Mishra. Karn's Temporal Sundering is showing the aftermath of Urza trying to send Karn back in time. Jaya's Immolating Inferno is representing Jaya's planeswalker spark igniting. Kamal's Druidic Vow is showing Kamal becoming the protector of Krosa instead of just being a barberous pit-fighter. Primeval's Glorious Rebirth shows the Primeval Dragons being... well, reborn. All of these events happened in the past, ranging from a couple hundred to a few thousand years before modern times.
  
  I think Yawgmoth's Vile Offering is showing Yawgmoth getting people to join him and become some of the first Phyrexians even before the time of Urza, although I could be wrong about that specific timing. Whatever the case, it happened before the current gatewatch story started. Yawgmoth has been dead for a long time.
