Simple but powerful Challenge
^Title.
Make a card that is (relatively) simple, but also powerful, without being outright boring. It has to be good for competitive, without being broken (duh.) - Something that you open and right away goes "yes!" because it's a obviously powerful card. Like Wingmate Roc from Khans.
Maximum 2 keywords + 2 lines (Not separate) of text.
Flavourtext to fill the blank!
An example could be
2WG
Creature Rare
Vigilance Lifelink
Whenever ~ is blocked or becomes blocked, it gets +2/+2 until end of turn
"With sheer willpower as my weapon I have overcome many a battle, and my weapon has yet to have failed me even a single time"
3/3
Activated abilities are okay but they often add complexity, so be careful.
Same goes for triggered abilities though they tend to be more straightforward.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I got nothing in terms of "winnings" but as always anyone is welcome to tune in at my card feedback thread.
I will judge with great ruthlessness, the card is supposed to be competitively usable.
Getting the wording and grammar right is a boon but it won't affect judgings unless it is an absolute trainwreck.
When this challenge is over I will make a new one, where the winner of the previous challenge will have his card displayed

@MrRansom It's not backbreaking like Wingmate Roc, but this is more of an improved Kalonian Tusker added with haste or a hasted, first striking three-drop.
Well done, gentlemen.
PSA: Feel free to submit several cards, I don't have any particular limit but quality>quantity.

It's not an outwardly powerful card, but it does have it's merits.

That's fine and all, but it sort of misses the point of the challenge. The first card you linked makes me go "why would I want this to take up a slot in my deck?" and the second one is, well... alright, but again, why would I want it in my deck unless it's a -1/-1 counter dedicated deck
It's slow, but obviously powerful over time, but not somethign you'd find in the rare slot of your pack and go "Great, let me put this in my deck".
The challenge is to make cards that are, simple, but powerful, that, as i mentioned, you would want to open and go "woah, awesome!"
So the card you linked isn't bad, it is somewhat powerful, just not the kind of powerful we're looking to make here.
We're definitely not looking for subtle
Mashticore

I'm not sure that's a "Wow!" card. Imagine pulling Karn in draft, or something like that. Because in draft, the thing Mashticore really does is set someone back 1 turn in terms of mana and give you trampling 5/4 for five. It doesn't have the same bang as twin Wingmate Rocs, or pulling of Karn's ult. knowing you will definitely win.
@Damnation - I guess I just have to finish you off before you get to Karn

Even thouh Damnation isn't wrong, that is DEFINITLEY a strong, strong card.
Let me put it in to perspective - A card that just says "Destroy target land" costs 4 at uncommon, but maaayyybeeee 3 at rare, WotC is sorta moving away from cheap land destruction.
So for 5 CMC, you get a 5/4 tramper - That's on curve, and already decently powerful.
Then you essentially get a "free" 3 cmc card on top of that.
While it may not be an auto include in all decks, it's certainly something mono-green stompy in its block will run, 100%.

All my instincts scream that I should dislike the card for being a mono-green flyer, an Angel even, but It's just such a pretty card. The green cardframe+the art+the simple text, it's very aesthetically pleasing. Also a great card obviously, but should probably be a cycle if it ever were to see print
Mashticore does set your opponent back one turn, but considering that it is green, and you're likely ramping, it sets your opponent back one turn while you've set yourself ahead by a turn or two turns- it compounds the difference between your mana and your opponent's. I like it! @Corwinnn.
Exactly - It's mono-green tempo, which is pretty powerful in the strongest ramping color

Uh, alright, but, the whole point IS to be powerful - With all due respect, it feels like a shameless plug.
You can always submit stuff to my feedback thread, and I'd much rather you post it there, and remove this post/edit it.

Please tell me if I can fix.
