Dreamscape Reborn
A long, long time ago, before most current users were ever here, I created what I believe to be the second ever community set (the first being the aptly named CollaborationProject). This was before accounts, and so anyone could join (once or twice, trolls put porn cards on the set... ick). As a result, this set, Dreamscape, became a mess with little to no mechanical consistency, color balancing, symmetrical factions, or anything. But now, I want to revive it anew.
While most of the lore and flavor is up for debate, these things are what I think need to carry over:
Ideas - This creature type was the bread and butter of the original set. It was overused, however, and tacked on to anything that was not a human. Ideas are like mini incarnations, and embody a single - get this - idea. They are reflections of the thoughts of beings who exist outside the Dreamscape (so basically anywhere else in the Multiverse). They are WUBRG. They mostly look like distorted forms of familiar things, and strange masked psuedo-Japanese spirits.
Humans and other beings of flesh - In the original dreamscape, only Humans were flesh and blood. This was a mistake. However, Humans (and their livestock) are still in the majority (mostly W, but appear in other colors to balance). Other races are up for debate, but I suggest Elves, Viashino, Sentient Thrulls, and Djinn.
Dreamtouched - These people were born (or created, as the Thrulls are) with a portion of their body and soul being an Idea. When they become mages, they are able to manipulate minds (U) or emotions (R). As soldiers and knights, they more fearless, (W) often being regarded as heroes. As Shamans, they are masters of formchanging (a-la Skinshifter) (G). As necromancers, they can create more intellegent or zombies using pieces of dead ideas, effectively creating suborinate Liches.
The Landscape - The landscape of the Dreamscape changes just like the Ideas within it - with the thoughts and emotions of those outside the Dreamscape. There are a few constant points, where some sentient beings build their refuges. Wild beings (Beasts ect.) and the rest of the sentient beings live Nomadic lifestyles where they are forced to be adaptable.
I'm limiting the main design team to 5 or so people (If I can even get that many, haha), but any submitted cards will be at least reviewed, and probably added.
However, before I even create the set account, I want to use this thread as a place to discuss mechanics and lore, so we aren't going it blind.

It's a "Clan Card" for the Forgotten Dragons Set. I've been making them for that set and for the Athera Collaboration Set.
Disqus is a lot more edit friendly, and I can easily keep my card list (with links), flavor text list (for instant flavor references on all cards for the set) Specific Lore for the clan, copy and paste abilities and whatever else I might want to add)
Just a thought
p.s. That Dreamscape set looks amazing
@RedRageMage: Maybe at higher rarities, but there need to be common ones too.
As per usual. I will offer advice and help, thoughts and ideas towards specific cards and mechanically birthings, but I am too unpredictable, lazy, and fleeting to really commit to a set. If you are willing to accept me as a strategist, then I would be happy to oblige, if you be lookin' for more commitment, then I am not your man. Ha ha.
We'll see how many people you get. If you're runnin' a little sparce I'll probably hop in there with ya. But if the roster looks good, I'll keep to the sidelines and just offer assistance whenever I can.

Dream-When this creature becomes tapped, you may choose to have it not untap during your next untap step, If you do, Insert effect here
I would just like to know if it's good enough

Dream - You may choose to have ~ not untap during your untap step. If you do, [EFFECT].

(When I'm given a topic, I can make up a lot of abilities...)
Got an idea for a green-flavored mechanic. Adapt!
http://mtgcardsmith.com/view/elf-shifter
It would give your creatures custom power and toughness, so long as it equals a certain value, for example, a creature with Adapt 3, like Elf Shifter, would have a P/T */* displayed on it's card, but you could make it a 0/3, 1/2, 2/1, or 3/0 when you play it, depending on what situation you're in.
Fleshshape N (This creature enters the battlefield with base power and toughness X/Y, where X and Y are two nonnegative numbers of your choice that add to N.)
However, if you want to pitch in, just comment on the Lore Card, and I'll give you the password.
Recycle (When you play this spell exile (x) cards from the top of your library, choose (x) cards from your graveyard and shuffle those back into your library.)
