  • @Faiths_Guide he did mention that Reap was a kicker variant, though admittedly I did feel that Reap was much closer to Kicker than Affirm as well especially compared to the description he wrote on it.

    @bnew07
    Thank you for the surprisingly positive comments. I honestly did not like Reap as much as you did it would seem, but I understand where you're coming from completely.
  • @Faiths_Guide - The competition looks tough!
  • @TheCenterOfTheUniverse, excellent work on your mechanic and congratulations for being 1st place this week! I really like how Reap acts like a fixed version of Delve, which can explore a lot more fun design places. Really reflective on your awesome work throughout the Great Cardsmith Designer Search.

    @ChuckTesta, I'm sorry to see you go. It was a monster of a week, and it was a very close margin. I like the idea of Accumulate, but I think that it should put on charge counters instead because they are already an existing mechanic in MTG. Or maybe something like "Whenever this creature becomes tapped, put a charge counter on it"... That would be a really cool three-colored faction with White, Red, and Blue! I am interested to see your future designs for Accumulate.
  • @Corwinnn - You couldn’t be more right, my competitors are fantastic!

    @TheCenterOfTheUniverse
    Oh, @bnew07 did? I’m sorry, I have a bad habit of thinking I’ve read more than I have and forming conclusions based on that...
  • @Faiths_Guide

    I am glad you found the feedback helpful.

    @TheCenterOfTheUniverse

    While it may not be too flashy, Reap is the exact kind of mechanic that has enough interesting design space for a standard legal set at the appropriate power level. That is the hallmark of a good mechanic.
