Death's Shadow, Goblin Guide and Delver of Secrets All Walk Into a Bar... {FINISHED}
I took a massive hiatus from MTG Cardsmith, and this is my first contest in ages, so here goes.
=The Contest=
Delver of Secrets. Goblin Guide. Death's Shadow.
Some of the most iconic magic cards WOTC have ever printed have been simple one drop creatures - some that are horribly complex or brutally powerful, others that are elegantly simple and painfully underpowered. So here's the contest. Design a one drop creature - it can be one colour of any mana, it doesn't matter. It can have whatever power and toughness and what ever abilities you desire.
Also - up to six entries, up three old and up to three new.
=Examples=
Some of mine:
And some of WOTC's:
=Prizes=
1st place - 5 faves, and a follow.
2nd place - 3 faves and a follow.
3rd place - 1 fave and a follow
Honourable mentions - a fave.

Not really sure. I thought the old name was a bit too boring (but I'll change it back if you want me too) ^^
Here's one I made for this contest. I have been listening to Masters of Modern lately and they mentioned we are getting closer to enough cards like Path to Exile and Assassin's Trophy and Ghost Quarter that we could get to the point that they make a deck because in a fetch shock dominated format, you only run one to four basic lands. We are cranky about fetch prices being too high, so let's punish that. I'm slapping this turn one. If you are going to have a greedy mana base, we can both benefit from it. If you don't have a greedy mana base, then I'll Assassin's Trophy or Ghost Quarter you to get what I want anyway. Pushes Jund and Abzhan.
This was made for the great designer cardsmith contest where I made Tribute cards in Orzhov colors. It is fun in that it is a card where usually you want to pay tribute.
I just realized I don't have many one drops. I'll make more in the future!
Here's the other two, but they aren't entries.

A sort of mirrored triad of my design, from Benalia, Phyrexia and the Cabal respectively- each is concerned with one of the three different types of historic permanents.
What, did you guys think that Faeries wouldnt make the quick one drop contest?
This is strictly to buy its caster some time, either in the beginning of the game or after a board wipe that may even effect your lands.
