@ChainsawXIV - Mami... Mami... why!? WHY!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

In other news, there is a typo on the flip side of Madoka (an, instead of and). Also, on Sayaka, do the suffering counters disappear when it changes hands? If not, how does it keep shifting ownership exactly?
  • 2nd entry for the 1st category:

Started using some of my own art for cards so thought I'd throw my hat in the ring here too for the realistic category!

Last one is obviously not my art!
  • Thanks @RayearthIX! I fixed the typo on Madoka, and ended up revising Sayaka significantly to simplify things (and Kyubey for consistency with the new Sayaka design).
  • As a reminder to anyone interested in participating, and potentially winning a month of subscription time, this event ends on 1/11, THIS FRIDAY!
  • 3rd and final entry for the first category:

Thank you to everyone who entered this contest. Due to the small number of actual entrants (only 8 people entered cards, and only one of whom entered both categories), I am combining the two categories into one. There will be a top 3, and 1 or 2 honorable mention. I am currently determining the exact order of the top 3, and determining the which of two options will be the honorable mention. I will post the final standings by 5PM or earlier today.
  • Now for the leaderboard:

The honorable mentions for this contest are:

@LostinStatic for their card Yukari, Boundless. This is a completely over-the-top card that is perfect for an OP boss of one of Japan's most beloved bullet-hell shooter series, Touhou Project.

and @pjbear2005 for Eraserhead, one of the super hero instructors in My Hero Academia. The card fits his abilities perfectly, and I very much liked the card. However, the lack of flavor text caused it to be an honorable mention.

In 3rd place, we have @Vardus for Roronoa Zoro from the anime One Piece. This is a completely overpowered card, and really should have triple strike (1 sword in each hand, and 1 in his mouth, you see), but definitely fits with the character. A very well done card for the setting, though stupidly OP.

In 2nd place is @TenebrisNemo with the card Switch Turns. This was a toss up here between Switch Turns and Shizuka, and honestly both are excellent cards. I decided to choose this one, however, due to the amusing choice of art and placement of the flavor text, which makes it seem as if the two monarchs are talking to one another. Very clever, and a silly card that can ruin anyone's game... including the person who plays it.

And lastly, in 1st place, and the winner, is @ChainsawXIV for the amazing set of Puella Magi Madoka Magica cards. If I had to chose one as the winning card, it would be the terror that is Kyubey, though Madoka's card also perfectly fits her character. This set is virtually perfect in terms of both its reliance on the source material, and the balance of the cards.

Winners, let me know what cards you want me to like, and again, thank you to everyone who participated!
  • Nice! Thanks @RayearthIX, and congrats to the other winners and really everyone who participated. I'm on my phone in the process of moving to Germany at the moment, so I'll get back to you with my list in a couple of days. :)
  • @RayearthIX - I'm glad you liked Shizuka and Switch Turns! Please fave these four cards of mine:
