@sorinjace Thanks for the reminder. I've added the clause in the first page.

Please only submit at most 10 entries (old and new combined) in total. I don't want to be overloaded with the work :P

My Tenth and Final Entry for this contest

Value= Converted mana Cost- Just short hand I came up with if I used CMC twice or more on a card.

    Aegis by Lastjustice

Aegis (Whenever this creature becomes the target of a spell or ability an opponent controls, counter that spell or ability unless its controller pays N.)

Most of the world is now past 17, so...
    That's it!
I'll be judging the entries soon. Results should be up in a week.

    @Corwinnn @Everyone
    The results are here!

Before I reveal them, I'd like to thank you all for joining this contest. It was my first one so I did forget some requirements :P

While judging the entries, I've found a lot of them quite enjoyable. Most of them are quite flavorful and balanced. While others... might want to start by looking at some Magic cards and seeing what their templating looks like.

(I really like to stick to the templating done by WotC. If a see a card that differs from it a lot, I get quite a bit irritated.)

All of the entries are very close, and it took me a loooooooooooooong time to give the rankings. I also made the decision to only give 1 award to each user.
...though the power discrepancy between the entries have made me thought otherwise
    Anyways, here are the results!

Boy, is this flavourful! The art was pinched from WotC, but considering the card basically shouted "TEMUR!", it's something to easily ignore. All three colors of Temur were shown on the card, though it would've been better if it were UUGGGRR (which also seems like the sound of the creature you put onto the battlefield would make.)

One can't hate a good Elder dragon. The wording is very close to WotC cards (just "power" would probably be fine, "base power" seems redundant), and I like how the card gives a nod to the Naya theme of having creatures with power 5 or greater. Revealing only the top card of your library makes this not too op, and Naya colors means library manipulation isn't that easy to get. Definitely makes for a good commander.

    3rd place:

    Subsitute by @Animist

Most entries seemed to rely on red or green, so seeing one that's just white and blue surprised me. Even though it was at instant speed, it felt very flavourful, and the one word name surely helped. While the card itself is appears to be a fair swap, there are multiple ways to really exploit this (see Affinity, Improvise, Convoke etc.)

    2nd place:

    Dark Rift by @sanjaya666

While the can't be countered clause seems a bit weird/op, the rest of the card is not only flavourful, but makes sure the power is bounded, especially the "deals damage to you" clause.

    1st place:

    Dazzling Heroism by @TenebrisNemo

    Dazzling Heroism

The entry was definitely flavourful, and using Sight instead of scry made sure at worst it was simply a "remove target creature from combat", without the benefit of scrying a lot. It was also quite balanced since the power of this card depended most on how ahead your opponent was, and could make some interesting games.

Winners can post/PM the cards to be fav-ed.

Congrats to all the winners! :D
