My concern is they become small on cards. But the shape is simple, so I think we can tell what they are Did you use three different textures for each symbol? In case you want to do it differently; you need only one of them if you adjust hue and saturation.
If they're all to have the same pattern, I think that the rare symbol's pattern would be the way to go. It flows rather nicely and seems to emulate the texture of the paper used for uchiwa fans.
I made a tutorial for Photoshop users. I found many ways to make symbols, but here's the one that I use the most:
Step 3 might be unclear. There are several ways to do this.
A) The easiest way is.. (I use Photoshop in Japanese, so I don't know how to explain it in English...); if I right click the selected shape, there's an option that you can add outlines to the selected shape instantly. When I add the outlines, I switch the layer to the new one. So that I can edit the color of the icon without touching the outlines. (Edit) "Step 3A is Layer Style - Stroke" - Corwinnn
Use pen tool to draw outlines. This would be the best way if you want every corner of the symbol look sharp and beautiful.
C) I've never done this but here's the video:

At some point in time can you make a crescent moon symbol. I'm planning on making a dark ages based set and I can test it for you.

I love them!
The part that you can add rarity's color is small.. What if you added clouds ?
This is @ningyounk's interpretation of the Fairy Tale symbols:
Those are gorgeous! Add them to this thread!

Thanks for the tutorial. I was doing it differently from step 5. I used clipping mask and texture images that i found on the internet.
