GOYFS, GOYFS EVERYWHERE!!! (Lhurgoyf Challenge!)
OH NO! HERE COMES . . . TARMOGOYF!!!! WHERE ARE OUR LHURGOYFS WHEN WE NEED THEM!!
Wait. . . I Know!
Welcome this new challenge, the Goyf Challenge! As many avid mtg-ers know, Tarmogoyf is a Lhurgoyf, and Lhurgoyfs are creatures that base their power and toughness on things in the graveyard, namely creatures. Here are some Lhurgoyfs as examples.
Original Lhurgoyf: http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=247151
Tarmogoyf: http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=397682
I want you to create your own Lhurgoyfs. Here are the rules.
Rules:
1. It has to be a */1+* creature
2. Has to have the subtype Lhurgoyf
3. Its power and toughness have to do with a number of something in the graveyard.
4. It can be any color, but green best fits. I have seen black also work it pretty good.
5. Do your best with grammar and wording so it is understandable.
6. If you can, include artist's name.
7. You may only have one entry. If you wish to change your entry, just say that the new card is the one that you want to be judged instead.
The close date for all entries is November 18th at 5:00 Mountain Standard Time. Judging will occur for an hour and the winners will be posted around 6:00.
Prizes:
1st A Trophy in their honor (A Token saying they won this contest and in comments will show contest and winning card.) and 5 likes on any of their cards they want.
2nd 3 likes on any of their cards they want.
3rd 1 like on any card they want.
Thanks for Participating and hav- GOYF!

Anyhow, I'll still enter my card. I made it a while ago, not for this comp, but I don't think that matters. The power/toughness is */*, but as 1+* is impossible, I suppose it could just be treated as if its 1+*.
Here it is: http://mtgcardsmith.com/view/macrogoyf?list=user
Hope you like it

I couldn't type [1+*] in the toughness' box, so I just made it [*/*]

Oblivore by @Sylux! - http://mtgcardsmith.com/view/oblivore
I love how relevant to the new set this is! I think that going outside the green colors is pretty cool. If it wasn't quite as overpowered, It might come in second.
SECOND
Mobagoyf by @Ginge - http://mtgcardsmith.com/view/mobagoyf
It is basically an AMAZING green kill spell. With the very few kill spells out there in the color green, this lives up to the green by giving you a big creature, true to its color. And it is well balanced where it can kill creatures, but you have to return it to your hand, making it susceptible to counter spells, and it starts off small, so burn gets rid of it easy.
And finally, the winner of the 2015 Lhurgoyf challenge is. . .

GHAMIGOYF BY @AVACYN - http://mtgcardsmith.com/view/ghamigoyf
I really like the art, style, flavor, and overall feel of this card. It actually makes me think of an animal made for eating anything in its way. I think that the idea for devotion is really nice and balanced with the mana cost. Also, the hexproof is pretty cool, because it gives the feel that you need to defeat it with actual force and not just a kill spell. And finally, I think that it is nice how it used the commander symbol that the original lhurgoyf used in its reprint. Overall, Wonderful tribute to Lhurgoyfs!
THANKS TO EVERYONE for participating in this contest. If your card was not posted here, it does not mean that it was a horrible card, it just means that these cards were my favorite cards. I didn't have enough time to include all the cards as well. Please don't feel that any of your cards were bad, I loved them all and was happy soooo many people had fun. If @Avacyn, @Ginge, and @Sylux would comment below on the cards they wish favorited, it would be really appreciated! Thanks Again.
And @Avacyn, I will have the trophy card soon!
